This was always a game of inches. A game of split second decisions where you had to minimise the potential for mistakes. I don't care what anyone says, Luke McGrath not kicking the ball out for Leinster to go into the break, all feeling good about the 10-3 lead, was an abysmal decision.Again, Gary Ringrose going inside when there was clear overlap was also a decision that will haunt him. Yes, Saracens were better team but, Mark McCall and his team were tactically better and Leinster did not seem to have a PlanB ( famous PlanB!) to revert to positional kicking game to relieve the pressure. Scary part is Sarries team will all be around for 2019/2020 where Leinster are losing a number of key players in pivotal positions ( McGrath;O'Brien; Kearney). Leinster were good yesterday and no other team would have held that to 20points but, not scoring in second half will be giving Cullen and Lancaster nightmares.

Yeah that must make Saracens 11 point loss to Leinster last year an annihilation not to mention what Clermont did to Saracens at home last year words couldn't describe that if a 10 point loss is a thrashing.Come back to me when you grow a brain like a good chap.

I thought after the munster saracens game that box kicking is way way over utilized. To play against lightning quick blitz defense you need an out half that has the added ability to kick the corners. This is what ROG did for years! It got Munster around and ahead of bigger and arguably better teams because he could turn a bad situation in his own half into an attacking opportunity in the oppositions 22 in the blink on eye.
That skill is sadly lacking in all our Provences (I think its A SH influence in coaching) and is precisely what Leinster needed yesterday in the second half...instead of trying to bosh through eager bigger defenders all day long. Oh well maybe somebody will have the where with all to reintrduce this tactic instead of box kicking to death :(

This was a good match, Saracens deserved the win, however I was hoping that Leinster would get some more points in the second half. To go scoreless in the second was disappointing for a finals, but credit to both teams for putting in a hard day’s shift.

To my mind, Leinster has not performed at the same level this year as is in previous ones which make me think that no team can stay at the top year after year.

Leinster were a bit static and did not come up with any thing to exploit Saracens weaknesses. When Leinster needed to hang onto the ball they did not. A bit of behind the scenes work Leinster will be there or there abouts next year we could see a repeat
