    Got the green one in steel 42, and it's lovely and slim. If this was omega or rolex using these materials, the price would be way higher . I mean my green one is blingy , but can dress down with the leather strap. This isn't one I'd buy, I prefer the steel models and the bead of rice bracelet, just looks amazing !!! Got mine used but mint, and have to say its hard to beat in the price point.Great vid as always .

    I love that smoked dial, OK it may be a tad on the thick side but in black in the real world it should blend in better. OK may not fit under a cuff that easily but I'm sort of OK with that. After all I have an old Omega Seamaster chronograph that sometime looks larger than my house and wear that regularly.I would to check this one on the wrist. I agree with the comment on the rather skinny minute hand though, it looks just a tad off balance with the rest of the watch.

    every watch collector should have the Captain Cook (37mm or 42mm), fine watch

    Great review man. Not my style or size but Rados do look good in the metal. The materials are impressive though. That's the first ceramic bracelet on a 'tool' watch I can think of? Chanel and GP have one, but more dressy. Why Omega haven't made/can't make a ceramic bracelet (let alone Tudor). My problem with ceramics is that they always grow from the steel variant (because of the case thickness needed to accommodate the movement). Tudor got a good 41mm size because their movement is so small.

  • @thiwab14

    Without micro adjust it doesn't fit for me. I prefer belt to be little wider than what it is now.

  • @silver5986
    @silver5986 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    it's only half skeleton - not enough inner details showing. Also, the smoked sapphire reduces visibility further. Fix this by adding more skeleton movement that you can enjoy to look at, and then by reducing, or even losing, the degreee of smokiness. of the sapphire. Add a fine adjust for bracelet. Why is the watch heavy? Lose the stainless steel, and ensure that it is light enough for the amount of exotic materials that are supposedly in the watch.

    My problem with RADO or as you say "RAT-O!" (Just kidding!)...is that they can be a bit too blingy for my taste. I have the Green 42mm Capt Cook and I rarely wear it. Looking to actually sell or trade it soon. They're really well made though.

    • @N3VURMYND
      @N3VURMYND 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@poulwinther The lume can be pretty bright but fades rather quickly. I don't have an skx to compare but my samurai's lume easily beats it in both brightness and glow longevity.

      @Riki P. I'm normal weight for my height, have a small wrist but like bigger watches. The obsession with small watches diameters (40mm or less) I don't get at all, but each to their own I guess. I would quite happily wear this on my 6.5" wrist.

  • @JimIBobIJones
    @JimIBobIJones 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its a "neo-retro" hybrid that really doesn't work. The Captain cook design worked well because of the minimalism on the steel and bronze watches. Presented in ceramic and with a skeleton dial, it just ends up looking too busy and way too "bling".
