    I’d bet good money you could get that engine running fairly easily.

      I am not sure about easily lol, but I am seriously considering sleeving it because I think it’s got enough meat left to seal against the sleeve.
      Gonna take the rest apart this weekend & put it in the hot tank to see how it comes out.

    Not sure why you didn't use the fork lift to pull out the head in the last video?
    The flat forks and thst you can get the tilt....would have definitely made it more practical to use that a digger

    Great video, I'm glad you were put in my recommendation feed! Out of curiosity, what part of MT are you in? I used to live there and have some family out there, I can see if we've got a motor sitting in the graveyard on the family property... uncles aren't big Jeep people, but you never know what you'll find out there

    For whatever reason, the F-head engines go for much less than the L-heads. You really might want to sleeve that block as somebody with a whole machine shop at your disposal, especially if the rest of it being in such good shape, and as you said, just use it yourself. Nothing wrong with that.

    Camera is too faraway.
    It's better to see the tasks than have it explained. So if you want to make videos to attract people....that is priority, entertainment them. If camera bother your task, then filming it for the sake of it....not going to keep me turning to your video

      There will be a close up camera in the next video that drops, we bought one especially for the task last week because we were thinking along similar lines.

    thanks for sharing the tear down with us!!....i had a similar mishap when i turned my engine...i had drained all of the oil but forgot to drain the antifreeze out of the block...metalshaper here on youtube does some amazing things fixing these old blocks...from sleeving to pinning cracks etc... th-cam.com/video/upBFx4-cCiM/w-d-xo.html ...you have quite a few valuable parts on that block...the cranks sell for $100 - $300...the set of connecting rods $100...the oil pan $100...the distributor $100...hang onto those head studs...they are rather rare for the F-Head...i had to order a set from india as i just couldn't find any local...
