I am a South African revert Muslimah and it was through reoccurring dreams of being led to the masjid and asking Muslims about the faith that pushed me to take the shahada. I do agree that dawah needs to be done, as the only Muslim in my family it is known that the communities know nothing about the religion. Our actions are also dawah to our non-muslim friends and families. May Allah help us.
Th Quran says the word off God cannot be changed and that the Bible is the previous revolution of God meaning word of God and the Bible says it's the final revolution What do you think about that my brother? And don't commit shirk the Bible can't be corrupt because the Quran says the word off God can't be changed
Im South Africa revert. I also think there is a need for dawah here. Because what I know abt my ppl is we r so comfortable with the co existing religiously , race. And it true that most Muslims here dont go for high education. They comfortable with going from school to business. South Africans r very open minded but like of dawah makes it impossible for Islam to grow. Ppl always ask me abt Islam & thry r always surprised wen they learn the similarities. The other day I realised that most ppl in South Africa can convert to Islam cos the concept of Jesus being God is something that a lot of ppl struggle with. Cos in our native languages the understand of the bible is that God is the father(higher) than the Son. The concept of Jesus being God because popular in recent years. When lots of Christians start using the English language as main communication start in the Church. Wen the raise of fasle Postors / Prophets come along.
Why is that every mosque has an underpaid black caretaker? And even though you speak highly of converting the native Bantu-speaking population, the experience of immigrant African Muslims (Somalis, Nigerians, etc) is that they would rather create their own mosques and madaris and keep very much to themselves. Even the experiences of non-black people, especially white women/men, who are then fetishised for having been spiritually 'conquered'. And ask any Muslim what education means, they will tell you become a doctor, a nurse, or a lawyer. I'm glad the career options have moved on from being a babhi, a housewife , a bricklayer or a cabinet-maker but one of those naughty boys who went to Mias Farm to graduate as a imam.

The colonial and apartheid regime limited the propagation of Islam. The colonial authorities actually outlawed practice and propagation of Islam . In fact it was punishable by death by the Dutch. The last 30 years has seen the Deen being propagated among the masses Alhamdulillah.
The apartheid regime used some corrupt Muslims to unleash drugs in Muslim dominated areas and to this day the top gangsters and drug pushers in these communities are mainly from Muslim families.
Slmz. Sheikh is brilliant, but i am struggling to understand how is the Muslims expected to be involved in government, in the case where a Muslim who is elected in any government office, we have to take an oath (take a qassam) that the constitution is above all other systems. As sheikh is a scholar, I am sure he would understand and appreciate the shar'i implications of putting the Constitution of the Government above that of the Furqan. This is a serious query which I hope he can answer for us. JzkAllah khair and may only good come about his visit.

Secondly.... He wants Muslims to unite? Unite with the sufi calling on other than Allah. This is the ikhwaani Muslimeen mindset that he calls for. If your shia or Sufi quburi or one striving to seek knowledge and implement true tawheed must we still unite. This is pure baatil. As a South African I agree totally. The only organisation that work continuously making effort is the Tabligh Jamaat.Who continuously go out and strive in Allahs path. They go into the locations (areas that are predominantly black locals live).
