Just wondering if you could kindly share how "Woodhouse" is pronounced, as I've heard different pronouciations. Thanks!

@@nickiemmy9177 As a local lad born and bred in the town / village I would pronounce it as " Wuduss" 😉😊

Who remembers sledging (plastic bagging) on that hill opposite FJ Lee's paper shop?
There was about 15 of us on a giant plastic sheet, we couldnt stop and ended up in the middle of Welbeck Road... Went right under the gate at 14.34

Amazing 'Paul Kenyon' being a local to Wudus for many many years I can't thank-you enough for uploading this, I was hoping to see a few I knew, my missus knew the woman at 10:19, she can't remember her name now but the woman in the blue coat worked at Mansfield Shoe Co' At 10:29 the driver of the red tractor was either a Lowe or a Mchugh.

At 5:20 the three lads running I am pretty sure the first lad with white shirt and dark hair is Dominic Miles. He was in the same form tutor as me. 5:35 you hear a voice say "Manor Rugby Team This Is!" This is without a shadow of a doubt another good friend of mine and his name is Paul Wass (Wassy). They would be around 13 years old here. Thanks for the Upload Paul Kenyon. Good times, when life was simpler and for us... not so serious!

Thank you for your comment. I remember The Anvil well, my grandma was a cleaner there during the 60's and 70's. She lived in the terraced houses houses on the opposite side of the Anvil until they were demolished in the late 70's.

Excellent footage took my friend back down memory lane, it may be a long shot but does anyone out there have any footage of Kirkby in ash field 1960s onwards up to around the 1990s I live in hope ta

It's good to see Woodhouse as it used to be.The girl carrying the shopping bag at 5.30 is I believe Sylvia Ward, a long time resident of Johnsons Yard and a then neighbour of my parents. Doug Richardson.

I was 3 when this video was takern. And still so much of it remains. What shocks me is the amount of cars driving about that would be worth a fortune now!
