My brother was also in Afghanistan at this time and knew Pfeifer. I thank God that he is alive and safe. Thank you to all of the soldiers and their families for EVERYTHING that you do. Please know that you are forever in my thoughts and prayers.

Being a military spouse is the hardest job. I was one for many years. My husband did 2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq. I received the devastating news twice that my husband had been severely injured. You never forget the feeling of hopelessness and despair. God blessed me my husband lived. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for his love and I pray for the families still suffering.

Thank you for posting this beautiful tribute. It is heartwrenching to know how much our troops (and their families) are dealing with every single day. They will remain in my prayers. God Bless them all!

I watch these videos, and, my mind goes back to Vietnam, young men speaking of their Wives, children, and, families even with their dying breath, I was a Navy Corpsman, sometimes my face was the last they saw so I'd write down their words, even finish sentences for them, War's faces are the same places might be different, but, the bonds built by conflict among us all will last a lifetime...Doc Mike USN FMF

My brother is in 173rd. He was telling me that he helped carry that guy, and that he even waited with him for the choppers when no one else was there! Pretty crazy.

naaa....we cant clean it up if Pakistan (!) came under Control of Taliban !!!
Remember that Pakistan have Nukes(!).....and...and....take a look about the Situation there......it makes me angry...really angry !!
So.....alot of our Soldiers there try to do their best (Afghanistan)...but for now i think it wouldnt be enough to cover us....i think we have opened "Pandoras Box"....

Because of USA actions, in Afghanistan, the USSR fell apart.
