Wegen des Umzugs in das Humboldt Forum wurden das Museum für Asiatische Kunst und das Ethnologische Museum im Januar 2017 am Standort Berlin-Dahlem geschlossen. Bis zur Eröffnung des Humboldt Forums im Jahr 2019 finden zahlreiche dialogische Sonderausstellungen und -präsentationen mit den außereuropäischen Sammlungen am Kulturforum und auf der Museumsinsel Berlin statt.

The Museum für Asiatische Kunst and the Ethnologisches Museum has been closed at the Berlin-Dahlem site since January 2017 due to preparations for the move into the Humboldt Forum. Until the Humboldt Forum opens in 2019, the non-European collections will be on display in a series of dialogic special exhibitions at the Kulturforum and the Museumsinsel.
