Aaah..this story just like my life...after my mom passed away I end up paying my brothers'life cost.... stressed...and then I move to a small town and live alone for 6 years, go to abroad in my holidays, eat delicious food, dress, house..but after all...i think Living with family still the best one,, you need to share ur money, your food with someone thats how it valuable...😭

Can totally relate to your journey. After living by myself for 9 yrs after taking care of my mom, I decided to move back home. Just having someone to have dinner with and have someone to greet you when you come home from work or school, means A LOT! But I'm glad that I lived alone. It taught me important life lessons.

A fictional story and yet very relatable reality of life. Family responsibility is a way of life in most asian families. Some do it willinglyand happily but some do feel drowning and suffocated. I do like how the story progressed and ended. In the end family is family. There is a red string that binds you no matter what.
When they were fighting at the police station, Minsu must be thinking maybe I should sign it myself...😒

One of the best Kdrama special. An imperfect family that has gone through a lot but has a sweet ending.
I was crying at the end even though the actors are not crying... Bitter sweet ending... I really love it!! The island made her cry out all of her hardships in life which is the fist step in healing.. Haaayst!! I'm so glad this is in my recommendation.😭
We all just need a break but in the end we all still need a family.
This poor sweetheart, caring for everyone, and such a soft heart. May she receive her happiness she's a gem
I like the actress in this story. I can feel her burden and her dilemma. It shows on her face. I think there should be a part 2 and 3 to the movie. Part 1-brother joins her on the island. Part 2-her wanna be boyfriend joins her and there’s trouble between the island guy and the old guy. Part 3-Brother’s dad went to the island for his honeymoon. He later split with his new bride to have a relationship with his son and step daughter. Anyways, I really like this movie. For some people this is realistically what they have to live through. So reminds me of my single friend. I respect that she can’t think of having any sort of relationship when she lives with such burden and has been independent for so long. Thank you for posting the movie.

This is so sweet. One of the few drama specials with a good solid happy inspirational ending. I gave up watching them a while back because they just seemed to have sad endings for no good reason. Thanks, KBS
You should watch Bride in Sneakers and Funny Woman. Both are really sweet romcoms.

Lee Hana is a really good actress. I'm currently watching her in Voice 2, and she is just brilliant as Center Chief Kang Kwonjoo. I hope to see more of her in dramas/films!

I got the messaged of these movie.. so relatable of what happens in real life . People can get happiness by the help of others and by given beauty nature.. And life getting harder when you get old .. Live life happy with someone who gives you happiness and comfort..

That scene in police station for brother was traumatic to him but at the end felt relieved she internally loved her family alot

Somehow , the story has taught me to move forward and pursue my dream. I can relate with her struggle.. Between family and dreams.
Such a classic illustration of reality in which we small people dream and push ourselves too hard for the dream... Not realising that as humans we need our loved ones. And how responsibilities turn into burden if we are not understood and recognized. Suddenly i feel sorry to my father whose efforts that i don't understand at times.
This story is one of the best fictions I have ever watched any kinds of books or movies in the whole world. I really want to know who has written this. The actress delivered the emotional pain of the family well. This writer is better than any world known authors. If I were a judge I would have given the writer for the best prize of the world year Today.

It really hurt me watching them arguing about him in the police station..
I don't know if I'm talking out of my Arabian background or.. whatever,.. but, as much I relate to her story, I would never leave my brother under such circumstances no matter what. he'd do the same for me... I'd only leave when I'm 100 % sure that he will survive it and be OK and successful without me.

having one person to fight for you and get you out of hell when your world is falling apart, for me, this is everything. so, I really really wanted them to always be there for each others when needed because this world is cruel.
so, I wanted him to be never left alone and for her to be happy but with her brother... the end of the movie is fabulous.

V moving story. When parents are irresponsible & don't provide for their children when they are minors. Higher education is expensive as well. Earlier the brother was spoiled by his mom & took everything for granted but later he proved to be a real brother to Ensu & went against his selfish dad for her. After all they both have atleast one common parent. The older child despite being a girl was burdened so much that she hated the word family. But without sharing with loved ones & if each one knows their responsibilities, life becomes beautiful even with meagre means. Living alone is no fun. Loved the ending ....both siblings realized each other's worth.
This is my third time around to watch this pretty lady.
When you wanna do something for yourself, when you have dreams and ambitions but responsibilities come your way. You can't get away from them, you can't fulfill them. You get no moral support and nobody acknowledges your hard work but you still keep on going because you have to...

Sister and brother had their own flaws. The sister because she let the family take advantage of her. The brother because he was so rude. But, he was the one that got his sisters money back and told her to go and be happy, While he was young and foolish, he turned out to be an adult. The sister in the end, will not have to worry about him.
I thought that was her step mom but I guess I was wrong, I feel sorry for her brother, I hope he didn't drop out of school, he surely a good bro for understanding her tho even tho he has every right to be mad at her, if it was me I would've felted betrayed and hated her for life, I do understand her tho, I want to leave too, but not because of my family.

What a greedy guy! A un dependable brother. Omo!! He even let her sister carry the baggage and he is not even helping. Being underage is not an excuse to not even help to carry a heavy luggage when u have a big body. Seen a lot of Korean stories based on real life where one is being taken advantage of their family member.
