I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3a, 3b AND 3c airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 and most of 3 have now hit disney plus!

I personally wasn't a great episode. Properly one of my least favourite 3c episodes. Cause bandit is just sad throughout the whole episode which is quite unusual especially for bandit.

i love how joe always bases episodes around situations he and his daughters have been through. it makes it so much more relatable

Also very not pander-y this cartoon talks to children like they're also people; inquisitive, and new to the world yes, but it never denies their brilliant capacity to learn and understand. Something I always hated as a kid, I know I didn't know everything but abstaining from ANY means of understanding something from my parents frustrated me. But in bandits words "it's a hard thing to get right"
It almost made me cry when bandit said “when you put something beautiful into the world it’s no longer yours really”

i think the whole thing with bandit being upset in stickbird is that its an allegory to ¨the why isnt important¨ because a lot of times its not important as to why someone is upset what is important is that their feelings of upset are aknowleged for simply just being a state of being. its not important to know why bandit is upset just that he is.
Excellent point! I knew an adult when I was a child who would comfort an upset/sad kid only if the adult knew why the kid was upset/sad *and* if the adult agreed the reason was valid. Learned real quick to not be in that adult's presence while having any emotion of the sort.
I seriously love that they make the adults sensitive and vulnerable in this series. Even characters that we don’t see that often like Chili’s sister who hasn’t visited in a while because seeing the girls reminds her that she can’t have kids is heartbreaking and relatable. There are even subtle hints to events in the past like when one of the girls has a balloon under her shirt pretending to be pregnant, it pops and Bandit immediately touches Chili’s hand while she looks sad, which implies they may have had a miscarriage. I love that they allow the adults to be stressed, sad, angry, but they don’t take it out on the kids. They share how they’re feeling but they use it as a teachable moment, the kids even use lessons they’ve used previously to comfort their parents like when Bandit and Bingo are sad and Bluey shows them how to let go of their negative emotions. That’s really important because kids can be teachers as well. I also appreciate that they address how kids can lose focus after a while but they still encourage them to share and socialize. Everything about this show is perfect and the family dynamics are amazing, you can definitely tell the kids are being raised right and they learn great lessons from their parents as well as Calypso

i like how it showed the character growth of the mom, she didn't go looking for the kids who took the stick bird's head.
That's one of my favorite things about Bluey is how a lot of it is based on real life situations and feelings.. It's such an amazing family show and so relatable in sooooo many ways
My guess for the reason Bandit seemed so sad and distracted in this episode was because of some disciplinary action he received or was facing at work for chewing on an ancient artifact of “unprecedented significance for the understanding of the origin of modern dogs.” 😀

I think it was not something that serious. Otherwise, I don't think Chilli would just tell Bandit to let it go so casually. Maybe it was something that bothered Bandit and he was still hanging on to it. Many people are like that, something happens that makes us sad or upset and we can ruminate it for a while.

I heard a theory that bandit was sad in thet episode because someone else got credit for his work. Another one is that he felt empathy for bingo
The second one can't be since he was already like that when they arrived to the beach. Maybe it was something work-related, but maybe it was something that is bothersome to Bandit, but not as serious, since Chilli just casually told him to let it go. Maybe someone took the credit for his work, but it can be something else. Maybe he candidated himself for a field work and was not accepted... And there are many others and just work-related.
At first I thought it was something about neutering but then it doesn’t really fit in with the phrase that when you put something beautiful out into the world it’s no longer yours
I get sad about my life quite often.
I relate to Bandit a lot in this episode. Whilst kids can never really solve big problems, they are excellent at making you feel a little better.
I sort of feel like Bandit is going through a depressive episode in Stickbird. As someone who experiences depressive episodes myself, I see a lot of symptoms Bandit has that I usually display when I’m feeling down (Lack of awareness of surroundings, not having an exact reason on why mood changes so drastically, not talking at all unless someone directly talks to me, not being able to keep up with everyone else, etc.). This is just what I’m thinking though.
After realizing Bandit’s depression, I’d give him a nice bro hug, to give him solace and comfort.
We also had the continuous timeline in duck cake and handstand! Love when they do link up like that so well.
Also, just rewatched bedroom and sticky gecko was on the wall in between the rooms hanging out! He was there all day too, impressive
I was sad that at first Chilli was stressed getting there in (Relax) then Bandi was sad in "Stick Bird" which could be the same day or the next.
I make stickbirds all the time at the beach, so happy to see that it’s actually a think it’s a real thing 🏝️
This was a sad episode to just see bingo’s stickbird get ruined. It was such a cute bird :(

For me personally, I have said things to people which I regretted later and didn’t receive forgiveness for what I did. I just had to learn that sometimes even if you take responsibility there are somethings you can’t control and dwelling on them will make it worse.
When I was watching the new episodes, I was dying laughing at Bingo only taking in "blah blah blah blah skeleton. Blah blah blah mitochondria". I was CRYING 🤣🤣
As someone who’s worked with kids of that age, I can guarantee that’s 100% accurate 😂 The writers either have kids or have been around kids because the details are absolutely on point

Not sure if anyone said this yet, but that claw is a different design than the one in Show and Tell. It has a different shape and color.
I realised that too, but it’s still connected because both “Relax” and “Stickbird” had the esky so the last line of Relax “can we go to the beach?” Chilli must’ve said “okay, let’s go” then they head to the beach
I might have a theory that the reason Bandit was upset was because he doesn’t really know whether his kids love him back or not. Chilli obviously doesn’t believe they could not love him, so this is why she told him to „get over it”, but Bandit was still in doubt. Because you know, it’s not that easy to get rid of your doubts like this.
Love the Doctor Who reference! 😍 I found Bandit being unable to shake his depression so relatable. Sometimes it literally can take you out of what’s happening around you, and you have to let what’s happening around you take you out of IT. Which is good advice for myself….. I found myself relating to Chilli and Bandit in the 3c episodes.

I will say this, while I like the idea of the coping skill Bluey shows Bingo and Bandit, I do wish that one day when she is older and mature enough to understand, Bluey learns that sometimes you can't just throw away emotional baggage and doing so will make it worse. Some issues, throwing them away or pushing them under the rug? That's how you get a visit from Mr. Babadook.

Endo-skeletons are just the opposite of exo-skeleton. Bugs and crustaceans have skeletons on the outside (exo) and people, dogs and other animals with bones have skeletons on the inside (endo) FNAF got the name from the scientific terms
I remember one time at the shore, I made a sea turtle and while I was right next to it, someone stomped right on it. They said they didn't see it, but I bet to differ because it was pretty big and I was right there working on the head. I feel your pain, Bingo!

In the episode mum's and dad's I found a long dog.
It would be kinda funny for it to be Eat. Prey. Love. since they're dogs XD
But on a different note, I think this episode was really important to see Bandit be sad. We have obviously seen the kids be sad, and have seen Chili be sad and disheartened by parenting but usually Bandit it the fire-burning, loud, go-get-em parent 24/7. This was good to see that even if he IS the more bombastic parent, even he can have days where he is unsure of himself and how life is going. I thought he was just overwhelmed by the kids growing up, being a parent in general, and the fact that Bluey was able to "out-parent" him when she helped Bingo.

I actually thought the reason why bandit is so sad, is because grandpa/his father died.. Its really hard watching him all sad this episode yet in the episode relax he's so happy:D
My favorite part of this episode is when Bandit is throwing his negative feelings out into the ocean but it looks like what he actually threw is the camera. That makes it seem like Bandit is throwing all of the negative things the fans and audience that watch the show are saying about Bandit as a character or just the show in general and he is, essentially letting it go. I thought that was a really cool way to show that.

I did notice in one of their older episodes called market the horse poops but they block it out but I have a sticker activity book that has the poop so I think some things at censured and with bluey episodes. And I think American where I am doesn't get all of the episodes till Australia gets the or we get different episodes than them.

Yeah I do not really remember other eps that did go into others like these three here, There are probably a few others that do kind of connect in small ways, like with the episodes "Phone" and "Pavlova" , but the two that really do go together are "Early Baby" and "Mums and Dads"

I'm not an Aussie so I could be really wrong but I think that to throw a boomerang you have to tilt the boomerang at an angle before throwing it upwards where the side acts as a counterweight causing it to spin backwards and towards the spot it was thrown.
