Thanks for the inspiration to create my own Scandinavian travel journal while stil in Zweden. I followed your tips from your other video's for collection and taking notes during my trip. Today I'm embark on a ferry for several hours and can start making the setup for my journal. This is that more relaxed than I dit it before.... yes, it made me enjoy my trip more. Thanks!!!!
This is stunning dear Carlo! Thanks for the magnificent tour of Norway paradise 👏🏼❤ I love how rich the landscape turned out! Great inspiration my dear friend! I send you hugs and ish you a lovely day! 🥰❤️🫶🏼
Thank you so much for sharing your process-your journal pages are stunning! 💕 You’ve inspired me to tackle a complicated street scene in Naples-thank you for sharing the tip about tracing. I’m going to give it a try!
Brilliant video, loved the journal. Can you also make a video about the best stationeries to use while making a journal. Thank you so much , waiting for part two.....😃
Quello sketchbook é troppo carino ❤, adoro come le diverse illustrazioni si completino grazie al movimento a fisarmonica mi hai dato uno spunto interessante 😮 grazie mille
Grazie mille! :) Si, me ne sono innamorato! ti da la possibilita' di collegare le varie pagine, avere un movimento continuativo di illustrazioni! Ho gia' un paio di idee in testa :D
Wow, another beautifully shot video that showcases how you can bring a landscape to life on the page. I am so impressed with your skill and your teaching ability. You take something where the end product looks very complicated, but you make it accessible for people who are just beginning. The little tips and tricks, like adding the drop shadow effect to the right and bottom of each of those Polaroid like images really make it stand out. It’s so simple, but no one else that I’ve found on TH-cam is providing this type of detailed instruction in such a quick and easy to understand format. thank you so much for making these videos, and for sharing your travels and your artistic life with us. Much appreciated, happy travels!
Thank you so much Diana for your kind words, I really appreciate them! 🙂❤️❤️❤️ I'm very happy you found value in my videos, sometimes I doubt myself (I'm self taught, English is not my first language, etc...), but comments like yours give me a confidence boost to continue sharing my passion for making life a work of Art! So yes, thank you once again! 🙂❤️
Hello Carlo. This is really inspiring. I have started jornalling a new travel notebook after i saw one of your videos. Can you please tell me how you are able to print multiple photos on one piece of photo paper? Love this idea. Thank you! Anxiously awaiting the follow-up videos of this series! 😊
Thank you so much! This makes me really happy!!! 🙂💙 About the photos, I have an app on my phone called Unfold (it's an app to create Instagram stories, with various templates, etc..). Download it and choose the free version 🙂 Once you have it, select from the main menu the Stories tab, and in the folder called Clasico 01 you find a template that is basically a grid of square photos. Select that template, add your photos on it and, once you've finished, save it to your device. And you're ready to print it as a regular photo 🙂 Hope it helped!
😄 I guess it's finished when you feel like it conveys your memories and feeling effectively enough 🙂 I tend to not overdo my illustrations, and leave a certain rough edge and unfinished bits
Aww thank you!!! 😊 Every page usually takes me around an hour/an hour and a half, taking breaks to allow every layer of watercolour to dry before applying the next 🙂
I haven't watched all your videos yet, so pardon me if you've answered this question before. Do you create your travel journals after you've returned from your trip or do you work on it during your travels?
Hi Vicky! I was actually thinking about doing a video about these two different approaches (on-the-go vs. at home) soon! 😃 I usually (because there are exceptions) create my illustrated journals once I'm back home from my trip, but while I'm on the trip I always carry a notebook to take notes and write daily (and also to collect scraps of paper and keepsakes), we can call it a 'street version' of my travel journal 😄 Thank you for watching! 💙
What a beautiful travel journey!!! ❤
Indeed, Beita! ❤️ I wish I had more time available in every city, but it was incredible anyway 😃

I'm really happy you liked it, Marco! Thank you for your support and your kindness! 🙂💙
I love your watercolour illustrations!!! You said you progressively add layers, but when do you know that an image is finished? 😄
😄 I guess it's finished when you feel like it conveys your memories and feeling effectively enough 🙂 I tend to not overdo my illustrations, and leave a certain rough edge and unfinished bits
Omg too good! How much time you took to make this journal on Norway?
Aww thank you!!! 😊 Every page usually takes me around an hour/an hour and a half, taking breaks to allow every layer of watercolour to dry before applying the next 🙂
