Sethi Sahab is right in saying that the establishment has been operating in a certain way "in the larger interest of the nation" for seventy-plus years. Their doing has brought us to where we are. Still, Sethi Sahab wants forces questioning the establishment to step back "in the "larger interest of the nation". I would dare ask, does the establishment give a flying sparrow to what the people of Pakistan want?
You are right that the agencies are not asked such questions in other countries; but remain within their limits. Here is the case about their unlimited accession to everywhere; and untold stories. Each and everything is now at stake. The agencies are doing what they should not do and are not doing what they should do. This is merely due to personal rather than national interest.

No Pakistani will favor weak agencies or establishment. If the establishment/agency has become a political party or it openly supports a particular political party, then it becomes questionable. If agencies rule is purely national interest, of course there should not be interrogation. Unfortunately, for the last two years the biased role of our establishment has been witnessed, so for. unexpected and haste relief to PMLN, the Mandate issue in current election and blatant crackdown on PTI without fair inquiry are vivid examples of biasedness.
