Thanks for sharing an aspect of Jamaica which reminds me of my early childhood, for example, the breadfruit picking and the guineps. The ones I buy in the supermarket here in the Asian stores in Canada are expensive and not so tasty. Blessings to you and family Adrian.

It puzzles me why they’re so many hungry people in Jamaica when you can literally pick up food offa groun! Like my brother, cousins and I used to sit and eat cane, mangoes, guinep, suck coco seed all day until dinner cook and it was time to eat.
That’s how us Manchesterian are, we’re drawn to older people. I got along perfect with them, they’re so much more mature. Don’t get me wrong, love young people too, stick with older ones and you’ll never go wrong. ❤❤❤❤

If its a small breadfrut 35-40 mins; a large one about 1 hr 10mins @450 degrees F. Be sure to wash and dry breadfruit; remove stem and poke a knife where you removed stem; then mark an "X " on the bottom; lightly rub some cooking oil over the entire surface of the breadfruit and this makes for easier peeling while also sealing in the moisture. I have tdone this numerous times, enjoy.
