This happens quite a bit. Young people falling in love with older music, you're not alone. When people hear old music it makes the curious to hear more. I believe you would love doo wop and probably early rock too.

    1) Adorable reaction!
    2) Bill Medley is the taller dark haired one with the deep baritone voice. Bobby Hatfield is the blond with the amazing tenor.
    3) If you want passionate and romantic, check out “Ebb Tide,” which is a Bobby solo. If you want passionate and sexy 🔥, listen to “I Just Wanna Make Love To You,” with Bill taking the lead. Sadly, both of those are audio only.
    4) For some live performance fun, watch the video of “What’d I Say “ from the Andy Williams Show, and then check out Bobby belting out “Summertime” in a live performance from a different show.
    5) You’re right; these guys sang to women and let them know they LOVED them. Remember that you are worth being treated like these fellows sing. Don’t settle for less.
    Good job on the reaction.

yes, many (not all) men back then were gentle-men toward women. they were, openly, very loving (not sexual,... Loving) and felt very secure in their masculinity about expressing their love of the romance they felt being with their woman.
women were more or less put on a pedestal.
Women Respected These HIGH-VALUE Men!! and STILL DO!!

I am struck by the kindness and open-mindedness of younger men. We did some good parenting. Those of us from the 60s and 70s started the modern feminist movement. We taught our sons. I remember once my son was carpooled by another mother. She told me my 8 year old son made the comment that women can do anything they choose. She was impressed. At 43 he still supports his wife and other women. We have to be carefully taught.

The listeners of that time often knew their children would be interested in what they listened and experience, its not any different today, but here you are going back into time yet in your own way you are creating history by introducing new generations to these wonderful performers and the songs...its difficult for us older folk because todays music doesn't hold the same talent that our generation did,it was more simplified didn't have all the fancy gadgets used today to enhance a voice, which to me is just wrong...suggestion Joan Baez singing Diamonds and Rust there are many live versions on youtube, think you like it.

If you haven't already, you should give ABBA a listen.
