Fish room is looking great Paul-the houseplants have really added to it and made a difference visually The sponge are clearly established now as the tanks are looking clean
Great fish room tour and some cracking house plants. You should invest in some Boston fern plants super easy to look after and will give you that jungle look.Ive got around ten of them dotted around the house some are in baskets suspend from the ceiling, others are next to or on top of my tanks.
When me and my wife were living in the Philippines she had a collection of 56 Orchids growing outside. Every few months she would have another tree post put in the ground and then another Orchid would be tied on it somewhere with fishing wire around the Coconut husk matting that was tied around the roots. It took her so long to spray the 56 plants twice a day moring and night! There was also the usual Cactus, Elephant Eears etc that were growing everywhere but the Orchids were her passion, now she's living here they've all been given to her sister haha!
@@bigfishlad4847 It was worse because all of hers were free as she'd take cuttings from family and friends and when she got here and seen the price, just one was a days wages over there and to make it worse she couldn't grow them outside so after 3 years being here now, she stil hasn't got any haha!
@@bigfishlad4847 And don't even get her started on the bananas, coconut, dragon fruit, papaya, mango, lychee durian, that she can't grow either...The weird thing is she's happy with apples, pears and cherries though as they were expensive over there to buy and hard to get hold of sometimes so it's all swings and roundabouts I suppose!
Love the tour Paul. Your little junky corner definitely not as bad as mine. That hated tank of yours have a lot of potential. Try to bring your ph down to 6.5 and temp around 80 degrees and almost guaranteed no more erosion problems with the Hoplarchus Psittacus. The new geos are mint 👌🏽
@ me too, we seem to usually be on the same page. I’ve been looking at the geophagus alto sinu, the guruptus, marabilis, and a satanaperca type that I can’t remember the name of but it gets extremely bright yellow.
I’m having aggression problems with my true parrots. I was trying to not crowd the tank this time in order to keep better water quality but it seems that I have no choice but to do exactly what I love doing ( buying new fish ) 😝
Holy plant city . I see you have the plant bug too 😂😂😂😂 Mine is getting worse I will be interested to see what the wild caught angels look like Love how the Anubis is looking Tanks look excellent
Nice man, everything looks fantastic as always, totally get the expensive camera not being as good as your phone, it seems to be the focus on fast/small moving objects it just completely fails! Great for the further away shots but anything close up its a nightmare, for us anyway!
Check the KH in the Uaru tank Paul if it is high this could explain your problem with the eggs. I would suggest you try to get as near to zero as possible.
You always need to get one more houseplant, so the ones you already have don't get lonely! I have often considered steindachneri, but have heard that they can be a little bit nasty?
It doesn't necessarily show expertise if I care for heat-loving cichlids like Geophagus and Acarichthys together with subtropical animals like Gymnogeophagus balzanii 😔

Your plants probably think that they are on another planet, they are not growing in environment which can offer them immortality
They are doing great thanks
