Hi, I recently got this type writer from my grandparents for they no longer have a need for it and I thought it would make for a interesting hobby. Unfortunately the carriage doesn't seem to be moving with the keystrokes or the space bar and I don't know why. I have looked underneath and there is a loose spring but I don't know what it should be connected too. If you are able to help me that would be great, if not, your video was still great and quite informative!
Such a pretty machine...you said there are no tabs on this, but I believe the arrow on the right is the tab button and the tabs are on the back of the typewriter. Or maybe you meant they aren't working. Thank you for the video!

What a fun find! You'll have to take it to a repair person. Don't give up! They are worth the time and expense to get them going again. :)

Yes. You are right. I wasn't paying attention. The tabs are on the back and they work just fine.
Does this typewriter have a sparkly finish?
No. it's a "crinkle" finish. has some texture to it.
