Who picked catfishing... 😂.. now I do enjoy it and they are fun! Brings back childhood memories like no others but unless it's the 40+ lbers idk about watching .. but not going to lie you do make it a good video no matter what you are fishing for
It’s always a learning curve on catfish, but the one method I try below a dam is to fish a shad about the size of the ones you have and open the belly of the bait and try to fish 🎣 just off the edge of the fastest water. Absolutely pay attention because you will likely get the most active fish, commonly around 3-5#

If you want to save your oil or your grease get a teaspoon of cornstarch or potato starch mix it into a cup of water important in your oil while it's hot stir it up real good it'll pull all the drunk out of your grease it'll look like a biscuit

I've eaten drum. We had a fish fry with rainbow trout, pickerel and fresh water drum. The drum would have been fantastic except it was the least favourable among the three species. Definitely nothing wrong with eating drum.

I have to say that you are very brave by not having those rods in rod holders, a 5lb plus catfish could yank a rod right out of the boat.
