You ran through sweet, pure, powerful and brought out an authentic rock growl when required, and with great use of mild vibrato, without allowing it to become overpowering - and recording your on harmonised backing! That is the whole package in one song! Good supporting role from Danos too. Between you, you absolutely nailed it - sufficiently that I'd rather listen to this than the original. Hence, it wasn't made by Bon Jovi in the complete formation. In second account, I must say that some thoughs about this band are very superficial and biased. Even the definition "hair band" is somewhat stupid and trivial. If there is out there a band with "soul", no matter if you like it or not, that is Bon Jovi.
An excellent rendition of that tune. Admirably played by yourself, and no doubt double vocal tracked too. Having said that, and speaking as a drummer, you might want to seek advice or rethink how you're holding your sticks. @@ChiaraKilchling as a drummer suggest you try maybe 5A size Vic Firth sticks or perhaps 2B. Matched grip is ok but not what a snare drummer would do typically. Light grip and touch. Get a rudiment book. Get a real snare drum or small set but I understand the electronic attraction. Mia Morris who I mentioned to you did/does electronic drums more earlier but mixes up with kit now. BTW your mouth flute thing and laugh was priceless. Cheers.
