- Tambdi Surla Mahadev Temple is a 12th-century Shaivite temple in the Kadamba style dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is about 67 Kms from Panjim and 15 Kms from Mollem, Goa. It is an ASI protected Monument of National Importance in Goa.
The temple is built in the Kadamba style from basalt.The temple survived untouched due to its remote location in a clearing deep in the forest at the foot of the Western Ghats which surround the site.

This Mandira is the living example of horrendous crimes of Christians missionaries under Portuguese rule. All Mandira's were destroyed but only this survived as it was hidden deep inside forest. No hate for current Christians but we should be aware of our history.

I think yes you can do a wedding shoot outside the temple, Inside the temple will not be allowed
can we pooja on mahashiv ratri .. i m planing to go ..staying here any hotel
No during Mahashivratri there will be a huge rush...So pooja inside the Jyotirling will be not possible, even for the Darshan you will have to wait doe hours...All the hotels during thr Mahashivratri will be very costly due to Mahashivratri so opt for some good dharamshala for budget stay
The temple is very similar to Hindu temples in Indonesia.
