Reminds me of an interview, they once asked an actress, whether she preferred playing playing the good person or the bad person, she said she preferred the villain, she said there is only one way to play someone good, but there are hundreds of ways to be bad. makes sense, just look at the character, the Joker, same character, yet he has been portrayed in so many different ways.
The part Theron played was of a real life person, so this is much more difficult to do, than just create any bad character, Jack Nicholson is a great actor, but his "crazy" type persona, is basically the same character in every movie, with just a few exceptions. he had the ability to do different type of crazy, but, he was usually typecast for his famous, "the Shining" kind of loony.
When she did 'Monster', it was an awe-inspiring transformation...she's wonderfully talented...
I wish she would change into my girlfriend one day.

@shaking like tremolo doc said theres a strong tendon there.. body will choose to snap that 5th metatarsal instead of breaking the ligament. Broke one at 17, one at 27..now at 43, it aches in the spots I broke it when it rains..shoulda hit doc..
