So, quick question, would you guys like more of this type of content where I just talk about stuff and the editing is a bit more chill? Cause I know I normally make a video essay around every other week with more extensive editing, so I'm just wondering if you guys would like more chill content like this. Just let me know :) And obviously, I'll still do the longer video essays, this will just be a little bonus thing I can do every now and then since it doesn't take as long to make haha
This 100%! I definitely agree with you in that the previous two MCU Spidey movies seem to shy away from the heavier stuff. When I read/watch Spider-Man content, I usually do it because I like being emotionally punched in the gut before being uplifted at the end. MCU Peter just doesn't give me enough pain to feel as much like Spider-Man compared to the previous two live-action iterations (I'm masochistic like that lol), so I'm really hoping this one takes me on an emotional rollercoaster. like, say what you want about the amazing spider-man films, but that scene when peter comes home to aunt may after defeating the lizard, beaten and bloody, and aunt may is completely appalled as he pulls out the eggs he forgot to get her earlier in the movie? that's 100% peter parker right there. the stakes are so personal in that one tiny scene and you can really empathize with what both peter and his aunt are feeling in that moment, and you really don't have scenes like that in the MCU Spidey movies. we get a tiny scene like that right before MCU Peter tells May he lost the Stark Internship, but that's really it. Being Spider-Man is supposed to be the *difficult* choice for Peter, one he has to make over and over again, and they only touch on that theme in Far From Home instead of really digging into it. Up until this movie (hopefully), the audience isn't led to believe that Peter's life would be easier if he gave up Spider-Man, which the Maguire and Garfield movies did excellently. all that being said, I really do enjoy Tom Holland's iteration of Spider-Man, I swear. and the color grading in this trailer is a HUGE step up from the previous two movies, and I am HYPE for that! and all THAT being said, really the only thing the movie needs to do to make me leave the theater happy is have Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock show up lol Also I can't wait for that Spectacular Spider-Man essay! I do like this kind of content with chill editing, and I hope you keep it up!
Ahhhh I love the egg scene in TASM. Despite all of the problems those movies have, I think it completely understood that if Peter is Spidey, he can never be totally 100% happy; he can't have it all. I love that you brought that up, because nobody ever talks about those movies haha. But yeah! I'm still excited for this one, like you said, the color grading and the overall tone seem to be more of my tempo. But even if the movie is terrible, I'll give it a 10/10 if Charlie Cox shows up as Matt Murdock hehe. But I'm glad ppl are looking forward to the spectacular spidey video, I can't wait to make it haha. Thanks for the feedback and watching :)
Yeah, I'm kinda hoping for either vulture or Mysterio popping back up to be the sixth member. But they're probably just gonna get another villain from either raimi or Webb tbh
I hate to be a pessimist but if I'm been honest I am not excited for this movie. My anticipation for the film has been crushed by how they've resolved the cliffhanger from Far From Home by using literal magic 😔.I wished for a film more like what was shown in the beginning of the trailer: a more serious abd grounded story of how Peter will keep his life together and how he copes with the consequences. The returning villians (although surreal and amazing to see) concern me as I'm not confident that the writers will utilise them correctly and justify their return. Personally the return of Doc Ock feels very disrespectful towards Spider-Man 2 as Ock had an amazing redemption and sacrifice at the end.It feels as if they have forgotten he didn't "die" a villian or more appropriately a monster. The legacy of Molina's Doctor Octopus has been remembered for the last 17 years to be one of the greatest villians and the possibility that the character's legacy could get damaged or totally ruined scares me.Same applies to Sandman if he is planned to become a villian somehow. Although I'm excited to see Jamie's Foxx's electro have justice done to him.Jamie Foxx is a great actor and to see him get a second chance as Electro is fantastic.
Yeah, I too wanted the identity crisis to be the biggest confict. Only reason I'm *kinda* okay with it is just bc I feel the implications of using strange will be bigger. Doc ock returning is also a MASSIVE concern for the same reasons. He went through a complex arc of battling his demons, to ultimately die a "good" man. And I hope this movie doesn't ruin him just bc they want to being back a cool old villain everyone loves, simply for fans service. I think it's completely fine in being pessimistic tbh, there's a lot that can go wrong. But there's also a lot in here I'm still excited about, and I'm a sucker for spidey 🤷
@@MachuwI agree with all your points. Even though I think an identity crisis film featuring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock to help Peter with the Chameleon and Kraven the hunter as the villain would be much more interesting I'm still happy that a film like this exists. The actors aren't getting younger so doing this film now is smart. It's an amazing how we are getting all these characters from all these years come together for an Endgame level event for Spider-Man. Can't wait for the Spectacular Spider-Man video btw :-)
@@Machuw After a few days of reflection, I'm actually really excited for this film just as long as they have written Doc Ock perfectly and to not ruin his character from Spider-Man 2
@@weezzy4209 Totally agree! I also think that Strange's spell didn't even work on Peter. So the identity crisis is still something he has to deal with. Cause when he's about to fight Doc Ock in public, he transforms into Spidey like he has nothing to hide. So I think we'll maybe be able to have our cake and eat it too bc we'll get the identity crisis storyline alongside these other major villains :)
I agree! I'm a little nervous with doc ock cause he was redeemed at the end of Spiderman 2, so hopefully they don't bring him back just to be a mindless villain that wants to kill Peter for some reason >.
The MCU has made Peter kinda stupid lately. Like him wanting to be with MJ instead of stopping the elementals in FFH. He’s also so clumsy that he can be a threat to others. This sucks because Tom Holland himself is a perfect Spider-man
Right?! Ugh, it's so frustrating. I swear if the reason Strange's spell went array was simply because Peter couldn't keep his mouth shut during it, imma lose it lol

I still think this is gonna be one of the top marvel movies!
Totally has the potential to be! And crossing my fingers that it will be! :D

close to 1k👍👍👍
Yuppp hopefully soon :)))

@@Machuw that’s disappointing. It also isn’t right because if it’s a multiversal sinister six, then YTF isn’t there a Holland villain
