@@bbonzo oh lmao. idec tbh, i just start posting deep bad have been getting good attention and i never used the discord for views to begin with. although maybe it does help, but regardless i’m sure you’ll be fine
Deepwoken isn't an adventure game anymore, it's a pvp and pve game. They only release updates to satisfy the end game players into replaying the game. They don't release updates to deepen the game's depth and exploration. (Edit): I would just like to clarify, that my comment isn't ridiculing their process of making updates, it's stating that they don't care about the method they go about making x update. They don't release updates to deepen the lore or the exploration of the world. They release updates and balance patches just for players to replay the game. Furthermore when top chime players have to wait 2-3 months for something broken to be nerfed, it sucks because like why tf is this a thing. Why was shattered crit not canceling for like 6 weeks (Cladrum???). Tbh my problem isn't complaining about new adventures for seasoned players. It's more so a complaint about the fact that new updates don't bring new challenges. Maestro is a joke and isn't hard at all, the boss is unpolished and isn't difficult at all and has mechanic to it. And updates with no adventure or challenges too them being favored because it increases replayableity is just annoying. Getting a new oath should be an adventure, a new boss should be harder than the rest. Why is it that layer two is low risk high reward for end game players??? Difficulty is artificial and isn't a thing for new player. Replayability makes it so top chime just has to constantly remake builds bc nerfs are 2 months delayed. Replayablity means pve players just keep farming the same shit for a new item.
Im happy someone is talking about the effects and the vibe of Deepwoken right now. Genuinely. You used to think this was gonna be some sick adventure, sea-battling game, and now we are in 2024 where you are essentialy a demigod with the bright and most confusing fucking abilties. If you go with a normal build and chime and the opponent has flamecharm + dawnwalker you're literally finished. No human is seeing through all of those anime-ish rainbow effects. I feel as if the game has moved away from the original path it was heading, from the sailing adventure game it was supposed to be, to whatever this is now. No exploration, just PVP and PVE.
Honestly love it how whenever anyone has any criticism to the games combat people will immediately spit out "Erm, 700 Elo talking!! 🤓🤓" Like holy shit there is more than chime, shut the fuck up please and do some overworld fights or ganks (What combat should be focused on). Chime has rotted deep players' brains.
@@babaloons4887 reminder that 700 elo players still experience the pvp aspects of the game the same as high elo players and that things will obviously vary across elo, meaning that the opinion of lower elo players matter as much as higher elo players ^^
My main issue is that the game continues to divide the player base with every big update. First it was chime of conflict, which essentially made overworld pvp null or extinct and had everyone go to an instanced server to get their dose of pvp. Then they made layer 2 instanced instead of another area to explore like how they implied when they teased it months before release. And after adding battle Royale to the mix, they are going to add ANOTHER game mode. It’s like they completely forgot their original vision of the game (A rogue like exploration-esque game) and just abandoned the overworld. I also agree with you take on nothing being rare anymore. I remember in early deepwoken when just seeing someone with an enchant instantly had you on edge because of how rare and coveted the items were. Now it’s rarer to see someone WITHOUT an enchant. The same goes for legendary weapons. The game went from a potentially cool pvp exploration game, to a min max build simulator to farm Elo in chime or to farm bosses.
@@Kurxai I understand why its instanced, I'm just saying it already makes the game more separated than it already is. They didnt NEED to make duke instanced yet they did, even though they already separated the seas to reduce lag, they are going for a safer more player friendly game even though its supposed to be a perma death roguelite exploration game. And even if it was to reduce lag, it doesnt take from the fact that it makes the game feel more barren. Just my take on it
I dont like the real fact that they say that they wont add or plan to add any islands and luminant just because they dont see any good reasons to add this to the game
I thought I was the only one who didn’t like deepwoken’s current art style 😭 it’s legit seizure inducing and rewards playing without landing an m1. The deepwoken that was shown during the sneak peeks looked so cool and mysterious, like dark souls mixed with rogue lineage. Now it’s just blox fruits/ an anime grinder with perma death slapped ontop of it.
I remember getting my first prov thorns after hundreds of hours of grinding in the depths only to come back to deepwoken post layer 2 and it was utterly worthless. My primadon farming build is still 190 years old and has graceful flame with 1 flamecharm 😭
tbh this game just has a massive identity crisis all in one, it wants to be - a blatantly inspired made in abyss dark fantasy exploration game with deep lore and an emphasis on exploring and engaging with the world and story with an overarching narrative - a questing levelling rpg game with character storylines and world events influenced by the player - a pve sekiro shadows die 20 trillion times game where basic enemies chunk your health and you're expected to learn parry timings and attack patterns through trial and error (usually resulting in death) - a sweaty pvp guild raid game where the only interactions you can expect from others is "they attack you" or "they drop you an endgame weapon because they have like 90 sitting around and they're bored" and on top of all this it ALSO wants to be a fucking roguelike with shoehorned permadeath and the most dogshit metaprogression i've ever seen in any roguelite ever and trust me i am a roguelite ADDICT i fucking LOVE slay the spire, isaac, FTL, cultist simulator, lobotomy corp, for the king (not 2, FTK2 is dog) etc you just can't reach into all of these diametrically opposed corners at once and the strain of attempting that has been showing for a while, for example the much-hyped layer 2 of the depths was just an instanced linear FFXIV-tier dungeon that serves almost entirely to rush you through to the end to get pvp gear to go gank people with
Imo i think it was just bound to happen anyways, They can't pump out weekly updates then at the same time add some crazy new hidden thing that would actually excite people to the level your talking about, especially when most updates are usually quality of life or like one new item. But I do feel like they are heading in a good direction with what they did with maestro update. And honestly the whole nothing being a secret thing is honestly just kind of up to you? you can choose to just not watch the videos and find things out yourself. Like when layer 2 dropped I didn't wait for any videos to realse i hopped down there with my friend and we died to the parasites while exploring LOL its all about your perspective and how you play the game imo. But I can agree the overworld need some type of new content cause there is literally no reason to go to like 2/3rds of the islands in the game which is kinda sad
agreed but when all people watch yt videos and guides and you don’t then they will always be ahead of you so that just sounds like a disadvantage and not a value
@@mirko3078but remember what he said, it’s the perspective of how you view it. Would you rather know everything about the game, or just simply play it and figure things out on your own? But in my opinion playing without knowing a single thing is the most fun part of these types of game specially playing with friends.
@@mirko3078 And you’re not wrong about that, however I do think there is a very stark difference in the enjoyment you get when you do it yourself vs just watching someone else do it, sure you could be disadvantage and im not saying that it kills the game if you watch like how a new weapon or something works but like for example stuff like new areas or features it wont hurt just seeing them for yourself first, especially if its not in the depths since wiping is like almost impossible now unless you just get unlucky
fr, another example of this is the maestro fight, everyone was hyped to have a “secret” update although most people didn’t even know it was a thing, but what i’m trying to say is how do the devs not see people miss the exploring aspect of the game, and of finding something brand new that people don’t know of?
Hot take, but they should just get rid of the update log, besides balencing. The amount of hype from shadow updates would make the Deepwoken community so much more active and fun over all
I agree with the points you make but I would like to add a bit. For the longest time I've felt like old Deepwoken was "better" in the sense that it looked better, and it looked more promising. From what I've heard secondhand, Deepwoken as a game in testing was kinda ass and would not have worked if they were to release it to the public. I think it's that original vision that seemed so enticing, not any actual gameplay we saw. The game we got in the end was entirely different from that original promise, both in gameplay and art style, which is why so many people were disappointed I feel like post verse 2 the game is actually pretty solid now gameplay wise for what it's trying to be now, though it could definitely use improvement, but that original vision and style is gone. I ended my comment on your last video with this and I'll do it again, the Deepwoken we wanted unfortunately never existed, and probably never will. Thanks if you actually took the time to read this, I really care about the game and its future (it's been over 4 years since it was announced which is crazy) and I could go on forever about it, I'm really not trying to hate on the game, just offering my honest criticisms
cant lie when was the last time you actually got scared of a sharko?, if they got rid of the attack patterns and bolstered the like health/damage of all the mobs will prolly fix some of the pve issues
once again such a shame. I really hoped too that they would do a media ban when it released like how rogue lineage did because my biggest take on the game was everyone discovering new things and then the biggest content creators at the time would just milk it for the revenue and not the enjoyment of the game
@@xenogaming9600 see the difference between that gatekeeping and this gatekeeping is that one game was based off exploration, the other was based off fighting.
Dude you are right in many ways but again you like overworld ganks? there are enough of them on eu there is never a day when i get killed 3 - 4 vs 1 and so all the time chime was added for good pvp 1 vs 1 the only problem is the balance of the game which has gotten really bad lately if the game was so bad it wouldn't have so much online that's your opinion you hold that it's not true it's not cool they added chime it's sad but if you just don't see these overworld ganks or pvp just attack yourself if you need it dude for me the problem balance in the game is just the I played rogue lineage and I also bought deepwoken on release and if you compare verse 1 and verse 2 I will choose verse 2 just there is something missing in verse 2 that was in verse 1 again a lot of people cried about enchants being rare and now they are not happy that everyone has them please make up your mind what you want you can ask for new old stuff they will add but then you won't like it and it is very weird if everything was so bad I would just quit gaming but no, I still play with my friends and we laugh and have fun every day, because for us Deepwoken remained the same good and fun game as before, although if you take it in terms fun now it’s even better so what you wrote is already your opinions and the fact that you don’t like it Sorry my english bad im turkey
It was literally worse than private servers, people played ps in rogue to practice then went straight to ganking, in deepwoken people play chime forever.
I miss old deepwoken because the game was about adventure exploring and everything wasn't so complicated. The armor wasn't shiny the style was just so interesting like something out of an adventure book or movie the music the explorations the co op with your friends was really something.
The footage you show in the background looks so much more fun than how Deepwoken currently is, I wanted an adventure full of eldritch horrors and mysteries that would take months just to uncover, I didn't want to wait a week just to be fed the worst slop imaginable.
The map can’t be that big unless you’re playing on a super computer. + y’all act like the world events won’t come ever. Conquest came first but they can still update the game and tune it to how you like
@@salima-w3690 Bro… The game has been out for 2+ years and nothing notable or interesting has been done for world events U dont need a fucking crazy pc to sail from one island to another, they can just unrender places you leave 💀 Conquest is only a thing because it was begged for by pvp lovers and past rogue players, its a stamp of rag and arch for every game they play. u didnt even watch the video ig
Yo? That build Is so good? It reminded me of that feel I use to get when I started deepwoken. I also have my own personal project, that I've been working on as side hobby to see what I could do. A game that could bring back that same feeling of when I started playing deepwoken.
Don’t let this man cook ever again, tempo is superior by a landslide, reservoir was the most annoying shit back then, no ether was gained without getting reservoir. WE HAVE ENGAGE FOR A REASON and we have erudition.
Perma death is annoying for experienced players and hell for new players, die once and instead of being able to go back and see what you died to and make another attempt easily you're scared of going to the depths and have to waste time leveling up or powering up.
I’ve been saying this shit for years I’m so glad someone else finally has, remember in the qna when they said bad things were supposed happen at sea? What a joke, the vibes of what we were promised in the directs, qnas, etc is completely different than what we got I believe the main issue (or at least, what a lot of problems stem from) with deepwoken is how it’s formatted for you to play through a bunch of different slots and builds instead of having 1 continuous run, it gets rid of the attachment and partially why wiping feels tedious above all else, the devs have even said when your build gets old and outdated you’re just supposed to wipe it as if it was nothing
Wiping means nothing because the game has become a full sandbox. Everything is handed to you and they minimized progression so much that its basically just a downtime for chime.
@@cool-dh7wj seeing what deepwoken could have been is depressing, it doesn't help how the light the developers started making deepwoken with was snuffed out by the cannibalistic playerbase
I really appreciate the qol and progression of current deep but the art style and world have really took a hit. I mostly blame k1 since he’s anime slop personified and releases half baked mantras and reused assets from aba constantly.
A couple weeklies or some dif devs could fix that 😭 or a poll. Y’all act like the game will stay this way forever and the devs will just anime the whole game
Aye man, love the video. Keep this stuff up. Someone had to speak the truth and you did just that. I really miss old deepwoken but look how far we've gotten and I don't think they're going to revert everything back. deepwoken devs were hesitant to adding battle royale a few months ago cause they thought that having temporary characters would ruin the whole feel of the game and your connection to your characters, but now they are adding an entire actual gamemode where you go in with blank/temporary characters?? hello???
Nothing is confirmed. Why are y’all so quick to judge bro 💀 just be happy that we have some of the better games on the platform and be thankful the devs help to remedy it most of the time.

Appreciate your content brother. I like seeing a different and more honest view, from someone who is able to give an unbiased opinion and doesn't have to appeal to a certain group of people. I'm certainly no deepwoken tryhard, as I generally suck at the game, but I feel I'd be more interested in playing more often if the game had more depth to it. It has so so much potential, and I'm a huge sucker for lore, especially lore done right. I wouldn't wish for the storytelling to be thrown at my face, but I'd like there to be enough subtle hints to get a grasp on how everything works in the Deepwoken universe. Obviously, it's an "exploration" based game (not that it's done very well) but the lore is too hidden and too small. There are plenty of ways to make lore interesting without it becoming a roleplay universe.
This video is the exact reason Jetstriker is my favorite oath cause I feel like because it’s way less of a combat heavy exploration based oath that it feels more like Deepwoken’s original vision that has a fun and simple way to obtain it
Love this vid. Also I was the curved celtor dawnwalker!!! Atp I'd prefer a Deepwoken 2 over tryna fix this mess. I wish layer 1 was terrifying to a degree that a new player would never be able to escape. I wish it didn't have any essential things down there making the depths just there to wipe you.
I've been playing DeepWoken for an approximate 3 years now and I can tell you I discovered a lot of things with little to no activity on the media. I still do the exploration aspect, I still enjoy the game as it is in the right direction just misunderstood by those who don't explore while saying the game lacks exploration, those who don't try to get good at the game and just complain (been seeing a lot of these ones recently), and so on. DeepWoken has so much content done right, so many possible synergies that require your own style. I do a lot of quests myself and have fun doing so as the multiplayer aspect of the game allows me to interact with others and telling them of my endeavor with their interest captured. To conclude, DeepWoken is still fun, people just follow and complain too much about meta when there's still much to explore.
no not really, the game genuinely just feels like rogue lineage but with more options. the devs aren't giving enough effort to what they initially promised, a pve focused game, not a game that fundamentally doesn't work with its conflicting systems and pointless permadeath system which adds nothing at all to the game. i really wish they gave it another try, because they definitely have the capability of making something good, but are so bound by their past games that they refuse to make something actually fun.
I think the main issue with deepwoken is that mantras are made entirely for combat. Mantras in this game should be a utility tool and a component of battle, not the main focus
@@mao38strong leap, dash, flame leap, adrenaline surge, ice skate, glacial arc,all the wisps kinda, spark swap, metal rampart. There should be more utility mantras tho
Not even gonna lie, the first vid I watched from you was your last one, the first video in this "mini series" I guess you could call it, and since watching that I've been watching a few other random vids and they are great, keep it up man!
I stopped playing deepwoken a few months after verse 2 only hopping on every few months but I've still been watching it consistently to see if anything goes back and makes it as interesting as it used to be. The game used to he so fun and I always loved it but the devs seemed to have stopped caring about what the players wanted as well as it going away from what it was originally.
the devs always cared about what the players want but they just blindly believe them a wayy to faithfully without searching for the players true intentions kinda like how they added luck, removed luck, power progression shorter 3 times etc
because updates were dry as hell because verse 2 was being worked on (a game revamp), if we got new structures and bosses to fight biweekly then the playercount would obviously change@@babaloons4887
@@flappyflap2693 yea ik I'm more referring to recent actions like with what was said in the vid about like how world events won with a landslide on the pole asking what was wanted and then they still proceed to ignore it and make conquest
@@babaloons4887 ik that verse 1 was worse it's just it had more of the charm that I liked about the game like with enchants not being super common, builds could actually be harder to make where if ya wipe and know what your doing it's not rly easy to just completely remake the build like ya can now
The problem started when they announced weekly updates. They rushed themselves into this situation. They fell victim to greed and wanted to put quantity>quality. This shows with the updates being constantly rushed. Every other update has patches/nerfs for the previously added content. No real balancing has been done to this game. I can name 3 major issues with balancing that need to change to make deepwoken a more fair game. 1. Remove hero blades allowing mage builds to have the best of both worlds really makes this game cater to the mage meta. (Hence you seeing many hero blades/ legendary double scaling weapons) 2. Intelligence and willpower provide no real primary value to a player other than niche talents. (For example intelligence is something a mage would have a high attribute in. Why not make intelligence determine the amount of mantras you can have? That way mages can be mages and warriors can still have their small piece of the cake but be more adept in combat traits than mages because of points being spent in other attributes.) 3. Catering too much to the new players/ losing immersion. I loathe the new cods because of the amount of shit in my screen. I enjoy learning and understanding something and appreciating the world around me. Why is that I have a tutorial when I start the game. Then spawn at isle of vigils and then greeted with another icon/ waypoint to head to?The most beautiful thing I remember from playing rogue for the first time was realizing how fun it is to just enjoy art. Yes it might be hard, but the ride of learning and exploring is so worth the trial and tribulations that we go through. I also dislike that they add whole other game modes that yield 0 benefits to our characters. I came to play deepwoken not a Fortnite knock off, and apparently a league knock off is coming soon? This also takes the feel of it being a rogue like. They need to stop, breathe, and think about where they want this game to head. I’m going to be publishing this yap session 😂
I feel like the mage meta has more to do with a lack of defensive options for players. After how many nerfs they've made to parrying, rolling, and blocking, I can't see a future for deepwoken where spamming mantras isn't the most viable option especially since they've totally fucked over the original idea of deepwoken combat.
@@stagenine4702 it’s tricky because more defensive options could be/ mean adding other mechanics like venting, purely defensive mantras, or something entirely new. WHICH ALSO MEANS more balancing and seeing how things clash and work together. It’s easier to do like I said, adjust an already implemented idea. (Attributes) to balance the game. Making mages devote a large majority of their points into mantras. Gives them what they want, but then also limits a whole other section of their build, with this. No confusion. No rebalancing. Allows mages and creativity/diversity, and also nerfs mages, by making them rethink or choose they’re “spamming mantras” wisely. This also makes it easier to fight against. While also making a warrior build not that fearsome either. They lack way more in the ranged department.
To be fair, deepwokens leveling and quest stuff, talents is a pretty fun for mee, not to mention fighting mobs, learning to parry. Though i admit the pvp is a bit one sided at times, its still a fun and good game with depth, we have eastern luminant, oaths, layer 2, original ost, theres still so much good about the game man.
Deepwoken went from a game attempting to be a darksouls inspired game to a normal Rpg game with a Perma death system that's more of an annoyance than anything.
perma death is whats driving me away from the game. This, combined with a bunch of people with these anime stuff... Uhh No. its gonna be like those jojo games were you dont do shit other than fight and lost everything when you lose. Ew
permadeath is just a cool looking reset button It is genuinely hard to wipe unintentionally, only if you get 5v1ed, you lag out or you die because of a bug. Otherwise, staying alive is dirt easy. Permadeath has been a joke for 2 year now lol.
Its all fun and games but making big updates is a lot of work and they are humans they cant just add something big every week to do thst they would have to update the game monthly, and even then it might take more time, some people (me too) enjoy the pvp of the game, and yes progressing a new build is tedious but what can they do, we cant expect them to add new mobs and new places to explore every update, old deepwoken was fun cuz people didnt know anything, the game has been out for a long time, people no longer are bad at the game and know what to do, we wont have the sam feeling as before unless they release a huge update
first time i heard about deepwoken was in 2020 when my friend talked to me about it for the first time. Then after all the leaks and directs you can't even imagine how hyped ive been for this game; some days i just couldn't think of anything else cause i kept thinking about what we could've done once it was released and how many places were to explore and things to learn. I remember people making theory videos over deepwoken mysteries and stuff. I was so hyped that I would fantasize over what we would've done once the game came out. I think deepwoken lost its spark since it first released. My mind couldn't accept it but when i first opened the game right when it released I was kinda disappointed. The old look is 100x better. I would ve loved to explore dark cities and maybe 1v1 people like they used to do in some old videos. I thought the Depths would be both scary and extremely interesting to explore. Now I don't even care if a corrupted jellyfish and a king thresher attack me at the same time. The overworld is far from being interesting and the game's become basically a bandit beater to level up. Aint no missions, no nothing, no lore missions or such things; just fight mobs and gain enough exp. Also the combat system and movement used to be so simple pre-release, now it looks like you gotta learn all the perfect parry timings for each mantras that players will use against you. I also agree with the fact that mantras should ve remained something extra to the base combat and not letting you be able to spam mantras here and there. Old deepwoken vibe was hella better and I don't care if pre release testers say the contrary because the developers could've just made the old flawed deepwoken version better and maintain the original atmosphere and stuff. Almost hurts how I literally dreamed about playing this game with my friends before release and now I just have a 2 week-phase where i try to give Deepwoken a chance but honestly all the potential it had has been kinda wasted. All the developers really have talent and know how to do their job but this is not the game I would've loved to play when I first saw all the pre release videos. I'm not lying when i say that this was ideally my favorite roblox game ever. Drowned Gods>>>>> pls raguza & archmage give us the REAL deepwoken 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good that this video is out, im a owner of a game with its iwn dev steam attemlting to use some systems of deepwoken as inspiration and attempting to make a game out of it whilst trying to combat the issues with deepwoken. One of the big things were combatting is the meta build issue, were making it impossible for meta builds by for example, in pve we will add a boss thats built entirely on combatting certain pve meta builds making them useless, keeping rarity of powerful weapons and gear and enchants too. We are also not going to give out info or hints besides a brief intro video to our game of how to get started. So we will be able to keep exploration at its maximum. Every big major update will be focused around a new map too.
This says everything I ever wanted to say about deepwoken's lore, all of this game's lore is either in books with the exact same formatting and 0 individuality, or through lore drops in unprofessional discord messages. It's all just a cluttered and unorganized mess. And don't even get me started on the state on some of the characters in this game, actually just terrible 💀 hope u reach 3k
The vision obstruction and everything glows sections were too relatable. I’ll go into chime with a katana and the mindset, “I’ll just play better with my movement and sword play.” Then I find myself against some flamecharm archwarder who’s entire arsenal is these huge explosion aoe attacks that require 0 brain power
9:20 You're so right, I made my character really simple, it was beautiful, brown hair, ignition deepdelver, leather gloves, and wyrmtooth, that was it. I entered a drip contest and people kept saying how boring I look, while everyone else was doing the same thing, either completely red with huge effects and other shit.
Its the problem of every roblox games, when there is only tiny updates or not enough updates everyone is conplaining about it and when there is alot of updates or some major updates everyone is also conplaining.
It's so hard to balance the feeling of current deepwoken because of how many players it has. So many people are gonna be scouring for content that it comes out immediately. Starting out you definitely feel like you're learning from your mistakes, but you've gotten to a point where you're like the duke. If you're experienced enough, the depths simply don't hold you down and then all you're kind of left with isn't much since you've explored as much as you could
Coming back to the game after a while, and its quite disappointing to see the game fall into this "metamancer", enchant focused idea where the player themselves feel detached from the world their playing in.
I feel the best way to explain the shift from verse one to verse two is that in verse one, pvp and pve was like vinland saga. Where there was a type of traditional pvp and pve, with skills that aid your movements and mix ups. While going to verse two is like a time skip 1000 years into the future were everyone's using guns, missiles, heavy artillery, and literal nukes as skills.
exploration and the idea of getting better as I slowly conquered permadeath and each enemy was fun, though I stopped playing due to the anxiety of permadeath I came back because of my friends, not for the same Soulslike exploration, but because of the PvP and PvE content everyone I know only plays for the PvP aspect, which is fine, but I sometimes miss the old vibes. deepwoken is artistically beautiful now, but the state of the game is sad
Ur completely right bro me and my friends have felt the same way aswell, the entire game now literally feels and looks like an anime simulator. Back when it wasn't even released, the leaks made it look like some cool mysterious medieval/ancient game with a rich lore etc. I might not be the best at explaining it but you get the point of what I mean I'm assuming. It's sad to see it turn out like this
You guys realize deep only feels like this cuz of how much you’ve played it. Deepwoken used to feel like this back at launch that’s true it def feels like it changed but only bc of how much I’ve played. I introduced my friend to deep not that long ago and he’s been loving it. Reminds me of my first time playing.
this bro, like the first time i played this game i just spent 40 minutes running around isle of vigils inspecting every corner and its just people who are so used to progging every which way and have become decent at pve and pvp who are complaining this much, this happens all the time when games have small dev teams and can only get out a couple updates a month but ive never seen this amount of whining come from something like deepwoken like bro the devs exist to make what they wanna make, not what you want to make, i get that player involvement is good but devs arent just some martyr for your creative vision of something that isnt yours.
The problem with deepwoken for me is definitely the lack of exploration. I loved games like verdant moon, where the vibe of the game and exploration were very fun. In deepwoken however, i have explored everything there is to explore. The updates consist mostly of new end game stuff (new mantras, weapons etc.) The devs said they dont want to just add ''the next island'' when that is literally how the game is currently. You dont see any level 1 freshies at starswept valley. The devs just need to stop this hypocritical thinking and add something new to explore.
A level 1 freshie at star swept isn’t that surprising when all you have to do is jus be good at the game to where you can kill all the mobs there. Adding a new island with all new stuff would just invalidate all the previous ones as there’s no need to stay there.
Feels like the only way to play an actually good adventure game is to make one. The deepwoken devs certainly arent interested in exploration anymore. I might be working on a lil somethin, but its too early on to say anything.
yeah dude, they gotta remove enchant stones and laplace, make enchants rare again 💀 also please make stuff rarer, i have 14 storms eyes and sell/give away railblades, grans, and ignitions deepcrushers away just cause they’re so common edit: oh yeah lfts too, they’re so forgettable 💀💀
I remember getting shadowcast day 2 of deepwoken and feeling like a GOD cause no one had any idea and was just to afraid of the depths. the game is so fucked with testers just... releasing all the info about the game day 2 of it being released, i feel like testers should be allowed to for at least a week or two make any guides on new content like any MAJOR updates and just have the community figure it out on our own.
I want to further add on to the permadeath section and say that permadeath absolutely shouldn't be in a game that involves some form of PvP. The reason why you'd take dying in some roguelikes more easier is because most if not all of them are PvE meaning that your death is a result of your mistakes. But with PvP there is many factors completely out of control, therefore making deaths dissatisfying overall. This + the fact that it can take upwards of 10 minutes just to go where you died is what leads to voidwalkers being hated. TLDR: Permadeath doesn't belong in a game with PvP and travelling back after death to farm takes too long
I remember when getting a curved blade of winds was so epic because it wasn't everyday you'd see the weapon but then everybody now has it and it's not that crazy anymore
i feel like this issue also has to do with the way we start playing deepwoken music is a big part of the feel of deepwoken as we play the game more lots of deepwoken players eventually turn off music they also removed major parts of the progression before in verse 1 sure progression took longer but that gave you something to work towards and you could prog with your friends and have fun. i feel like in verse 2 they made progression more irritating by making it 3 times as easy talents you had to go do quests for are now handed out after hitting lvl 2 you no longer have to journey to hive to wash your face you no longer need to do the gale stone quest for your weapon uncap progression now is just doing trial of one going to depths getting lvl 18 then doing duke till lvl 20 getting bell and fighting kaido for ardour thats really it when in verse you there was all sorts of ways to prog with your friends and verse 1 progression just really felt more memorable there was funny moments there was sad ones too verse 1 progression had alot more to offer than verse 2 proggression
the bit about lore is sadly true since the only reason I can even surmise theres a war going on or that the world is sort of dooned is just by reading the wiki. games just creatively bankrupt now. sometimes I attempt to immerse myself through making a faction character then I get ran up on by various anime characters and Also Adolf Hitler Sonetimes For Some Reason
by the way do you actually think they’re gonna release a pre release version of the game? cuz that would be peak and i wanted to ask if you know anything else about it
Honestly because of the way deep was shown in the directs and pre release and features that the devs said they wanted to focus on, the new deep feels like they decided to turn the game 180 degrees and focus on entirely different things compared to what was advertised. Food is a joke and only there to make gluttony useful The sea is empty as hell and sailing feels like a waste of time (dont remember if they actually talked about adding sea content) Tl:dr Im still salty about no racist etreans and the parry effect got changed
when deep released i was anticipating what the old game was and i was honestly just let down even waiting until the game dropped by refreshing the page, i was waiting for over 2 years for it to release and i was just disappointed and i keep telling myself that i like what the game is regardless but i honestly dont
i remember when i started playing deepwoken in 2023, i was clueless asf and i was so scared of getting wiped and lose most of my stuff but now im not even scared of wiping and if i want to i can just look at wiki how to progress fast but i rarely play this game cause i well damn know ill get my ass whooped by a random guy with op build in like few hits, im still new to the game but ppl like this makes me dont wanna play the game
maybe a new update where a meteor came down or something like that, that makes all enchants loses its power making them not glowy anymore and just a regular weapon, just like a era reset, the noah's flood but in deepwoken , completely letting devs take a better step into the games future after what it has done
when I first started to play, I loved Etris and the sound design of it, I spent my whole day just exploring it and trying to get notes by getting wood and giving it to the npc, and then someone told me to go to "bandit island" and I went to the secondary shore of Erisia and immediately died to the three bandits at the camp, I kept going back and I was slowly training at that camp, took me so long to kill those bandits, fun times. Nowadays, I get frustrated when being kicked for the third time from the sharko in trial and just get annoyed so much that I leave, I'm not even bad at the game, it's just very repetitive. They should work on other luminants instead of adding more gamemodes, honestly I don't care about conquest, I want more events and places.
I feel like as I got further into Deepwoken the features that made me so eager to play it just... dissolved. The open world of dangerous exploration turned into a wiki game of min maxing, loot farming and cheesing. And the PvP meta is so advanced and mechanical that I can't get into it at all, especially with how chime works. 99% of the stuff you actually need to be "good" at the game is unachievable without the wiki and a lot, and I mean a lot, of cheese. Also the game tries too hard to hide features that are necessary for progression. Hive teleportation, aerial dashes, etc. only being the beginning. Layer 2 is so completely unexplorable without using the wiki that you may as well be dead the moment you enter it unless you're being carried. Hidden timers. So many hidden timers. And so much artificial difficulty. Like the wind ragdolls, how are you supposed to just "know" you need to walk directly against the wind? Or Ethiron's Gaze? That's probably the worst one. You straight up can't see unless you look up an NPC location on the map and somehow make it there while blind. (or again, get carried) And your very first task is to open a door with a key while on 2 separate timers (3 if you have light hook) while simultaneously blind with no map. It's just not fun. And then once you get down to it, layer 2 becomes ultra trivial. To the point where you can speedrun the entire thing in like 6 minutes to get to Chaser. It's abhorrent for newbies, and boring for anyone who's used to it. There are no emerging threats. Just the same mechanics over and over again. No players ganking you. No enemies ganking you either. Just a predefined path with predefined enemies and the same one-time trap NPCs. Worse yet, once you know about Castle Light (which you'll need the wiki for) you can just use the light hook to reduce the risk down to 0%.
They Schould make the game look more old make the effect look not so glimpy and make the whole world mare dark like a medieval dark theme but just my opinion
Ngl I was especially miffed when the “rewarding and slow” parry based style kinda disappeared cause I was legit hoping it to be like oldwoken pvp and I was originally crazy hyped for the complete mantra customization they promised ;-;
Ima be evil and say that visual obstruction with particles is great idea. I hope they lean more in the rougelike aspect, make builds more diverse and make it a lot faster to get max power and the bell (like 2-4 hours). Its a rougelike pvp game, no one has done that before (except themselves ofc). It advertised itself as a pvp rougelike - I came here for a pvp rouglike, not for exploration. If you think about it, the faster progression will make people more bold, they will pvp more and the loss of the character would feel a lot less bitter.
My problem with the game rn is that most of the updates are JJK references and I like the anime too. And the fact that you have to close Deepwoken whenever you lose 3 skulls in arena to enter depths, sometimes you just wanna wipe slots but still do some pvp.
What do i think about shrine of order? Personally I think it ruins the build making aspect of the game. It takes away from the feeling of having a stat at 100 giving you a build-defining talent.
enchants in general for weapons and some armor enchants are just a neon particle sponge, would love for a bunch of enchants to be subtle and only really pop off visually on proc or something, i mean hell sear is sure as hell searing my eyes making a bright neon yellow particle sponge,
Honestly I like this current version of deepwoken but for different reasons than others may do: I play on like 200 ping as the lowest and it's impossible for me to engage in parry trades, so I need to heavily rely on mantras for combat. Just hearing how you say that mantras back then were like a little thing and the main combat was with m1s makes me feel like I would've not enjoyed it at all. I like how I can do as much stuff as I want with my build, change stuff to try something new, Im dont know much about the old deepwoken but by the looks of it it looks kind of boring and slow paced.
Edit: I remember finding a enchanted spear on one of my older slots before enchants were nerfed and made more common, it was obfuscation which made it a long dagger pretty much lol Ngl, the VFX spam is annoying as hell, I use a old as hell PC, it used to run the game at a smooth 150 fps on max graphics, but now I have to mod my roblox to have 21 settings and set it to 1 every single time I wanna fight a mf, permadeath is basically non-existent, I've never bought a last wind just bc I know in a day or two I can get back to max lvl if I wanted to, min-maxing has also made my buildmaking hellish, for example, my main build when verse 2 came out was a simple shadow star-kindred heavy with fireblade, it barely had 490 hp, and it could still compete but now, my main build which is a 3 weapon type class cannon weapon-mantra based build can BARELY compete due to mages and Elemental rebound (which doesn't exist for attunementless)
Such a good video, I wish deepwoken was more RNG based, I wish shit was still rare, It is so stupid that you can perfectly plan out exactly what your build is going to be, exactly how you will progress and exactly what you will be using, It was so much fun getting legendary talents or mantras or weapons, why did we have to give a fuck about players wanting to make their perfect little minmaxxed build, there is fun in randomness the only ounce of excitement left in deepwoken is getting a legendary resonance
me personally as a new player i think the games great, expect getting killed in the depths by a max lvl player T_T, event bosses would be really sick like just randomly getting jumped by a mutated owl or smth, i feel like theres alot of quests in the game but no real point to do them since theres insanely fast ways to get lvl 20, like my friend once said his fastest time to get max was like an hour or smth
I think the main thing about deepwoken combat is the “parry system” theres nothing really rewarding for parrying yet its essential, practically a perfect block if anything. Tbh it should have more consequences for getting parried and whiffing it rather than just the fact the attack was negated
I agree with a lot of what you said. I feel like they have just added too much to deepwoken, specifically its combat and build making. The game has become like a sandbox, everytime I get on my older build its always outdated due to new talents and I always have shit items. When comparing this game to rogue I would say rogue has a much better system of updating much simpler and I think thats why a good amount of people appreciate the combat of older deepwoken and rogue because of how simple they are, not some build with 10 different mantras with a bunch of vfx. And to talk about how they advertised the game was horrible, mantras were seen as a hard to obtain spell that you unique and you actually had to craft. Lore was a massive part of the gameplay and there were lots of secrets to find out, and the combat was oriented on m1, feints, parrys, with 3-5 mantras to help you. Maybe it was just the unkown part of the game that us non testers didnt know about and couldnt fully experience. I think that the devs idea of releasing the older version would be nice.
I think I consider this game at a good state. Even though most of the people you meet know how to play the game but if you look at the badges it still has 0.2 impossible rarity. And now compare that to the 736 million visits that Deepwoken has its a pretty large majority. I dont really think permadeath is flawed since they made it where if you have a certain amount of drowns you there can be corrupted bonekeepers, squibbos, and king threshers and yet again still hard for most players. The people who are really only prioritizing deepwoken PVP are the people who are bored of the game and mastered pretty much every NPC enemy. Overworld in my opinion is in a decent state they are adding new islands slowly and besides there are 5 luminants in the game so this might be all that the eastern luminant can offer and we know that the central luminant is being worked on so just imagine in another year overworld is going to be huge. People "looking like glowsticks" is partially true but its not really an issue not many of the people are "glowsticks" its only the people that wear armor enchants and mainly the only thing that glows are weapons.
Why did they make enchants so easy to obtain, I remember when it was something to flex about and insanely rare and pleasing, now your build is not good without an enchant/leg wep
Because they are massively powerful and give players a clear advantage? You don’t want something like that locked behind pure RNG especially in a pvp setting. That’s why I love the deep shore fossil quest, you are guaranteed a powerful enchant of your choice but still have to work for it.
@@alepapi9544 Back then, enchants were enjoyable to find and regardless of what build you went, you could put any enchant on the build and it would still be good. Now, if you wanted an enchant you can simply find the easiest and riskless journals and immediately get an enchant of your choice. You can’t say that “locked behind a pure RNG” when there are still legendary weapons that clearly give an advantage as well. By your logic, we should give everyone a curved blade of the winds and a crypt blade because it is rng based so we should make it easily obtainable for everyone. Another thing is hp kits, the difference between a 16 hp and a 30 hp w physical or posture is a clear advantage, and is also rng based. There is loot in this game for a reason. This isn’t supposed to be a battlegrounds game where everything is handed to you. Also not to mention the enchants aren’t even that op.
@@Magmatical -Back then, enchants were enjoyable to find and good regardless of what build Absolutely not, are you saying that if i found a stiletto with grim it's better to use that over a krulian knife? So many variables are at play here, which enchant, what weapon you got it on, what star? (no smith alloy btw). If you find that fun then you do you but I don't like grinding for days just for the 1/1000 chance that I land a good enchant with a good weapon. -By your logic, we should give curved and crypt to everyone Bros taking words out of my mouth, I just wanted a surefire way to get good stuff that isn't RNG based. It's a legendary so no shit it's gonna be hard to get. I don't mind doing a very difficult task that risks wiping to get good stuff as long as it's guaranteed. Deepshore isn't as easy as you think it is to get either. You just say so because you've done it so much. Imagine a first time player beating bonekeeper, rushing through the diver husks and charging into bounders nest for the journals. -Hp kits on armor Having 5 more hp or 1 more phys armor does not matter nearly as much as an insane powerup (steal armor, heal you on hit, do 1.1x damage).
Replayablity means pve players just keep farming the same shit for a new item.
never could of said this any better 🙏
This comment just says everything needed to
I mean they cant really drop an update like that weekly, thats why the conquest update is gonna mark when the game shifts towards the world expansion
yeah cuz world expansion is much more tedious while also lacking replayability as opposed to expanding the already fantastic pvp
This comment is pretty dumb
700 elo player tryna give a opnion on the pvp rn, flame dawnwalker aint even THAT good at all
@@babaloons4887 his point is that builds matter more in pvp than skill nowadays. Which is in a decently big part true
@@babaloons4887 you obviously didnt get what he meant
Early games still pretty good, haven’t made it far enough to see all the bloat.
any deepwoken player who's played for longer than a month would stop playing if deepwoken didn't have pvp-pve focused updates
This is such a nitpick, deepwoken is still leauges better than other anime games
They’ve literally been trying to nerf the Mages every update and if the vfx are too bright for you then turn down the graphics,
@@salima-w3690 even playing at 1 graphics is crazy. Arch already said the vfx are crazy and getting toned down so even he agrees 🤷🏿♂️

for the longest time i thought people were trolling me saying you had to get knocked in the depths to get a bell LOL@@gelodar4895
I remember not getting ganked by a tryhard agamatsu build voidwalker every 30 mintues
I remember getting my first prov thorns after hundreds of hours of grinding in the depths only to come back to deepwoken post layer 2 and it was utterly worthless. My primadon farming build is still 190 years old and has graceful flame with 1 flamecharm 😭
I remember thinking curved blade was fake or a spec
tbh this game just has a massive identity crisis
all in one, it wants to be
- a blatantly inspired made in abyss dark fantasy exploration game with deep lore and an emphasis on exploring and engaging with the world and story with an overarching narrative
- a questing levelling rpg game with character storylines and world events influenced by the player
- a pve sekiro shadows die 20 trillion times game where basic enemies chunk your health and you're expected to learn parry timings and attack patterns through trial and error (usually resulting in death)
- a sweaty pvp guild raid game where the only interactions you can expect from others is "they attack you" or "they drop you an endgame weapon because they have like 90 sitting around and they're bored"
and on top of all this it ALSO wants to be a fucking roguelike with shoehorned permadeath and the most dogshit metaprogression i've ever seen in any roguelite ever and trust me i am a roguelite ADDICT i fucking LOVE slay the spire, isaac, FTL, cultist simulator, lobotomy corp, for the king (not 2, FTK2 is dog) etc
you just can't reach into all of these diametrically opposed corners at once and the strain of attempting that has been showing for a while, for example the much-hyped layer 2 of the depths was just an instanced linear FFXIV-tier dungeon that serves almost entirely to rush you through to the end to get pvp gear to go gank people with
Imo i think it was just bound to happen anyways, They can't pump out weekly updates then at the same time add some crazy new hidden thing that would actually excite people to the level your talking about, especially when most updates are usually quality of life or like one new item.
@@mirko3078 And you’re not wrong about that, however I do think there is a very stark difference in the enjoyment you get when you do it yourself vs just watching someone else do it, sure you could be disadvantage and im not saying that it kills the game if you watch like how a new weapon or something works but like for example stuff like new areas or features it wont hurt just seeing them for yourself first, especially if its not in the depths since wiping is like almost impossible now unless you just get unlucky
the search for contractor was so fun when people found out about it
fr, another example of this is the maestro fight, everyone was hyped to have a “secret” update although most people didn’t even know it was a thing, but what i’m trying to say is how do the devs not see people miss the exploring aspect of the game, and of finding something brand new that people don’t know of?
Hot take, but they should just get rid of the update log, besides balencing. The amount of hype from shadow updates would make the Deepwoken community so much more active and fun over all
I agree with the points you make but I would like to add a bit.
For the longest time I've felt like old Deepwoken was "better" in the sense that it looked better, and it looked more promising.
From what I've heard secondhand, Deepwoken as a game in testing was kinda ass and would not have worked if they were to release it to the public.
I think it's that original vision that seemed so enticing, not any actual gameplay we saw.
The game we got in the end was entirely different from that original promise, both in gameplay and art style, which is why so many people were disappointed
I feel like post verse 2 the game is actually pretty solid now gameplay wise for what it's trying to be now, though it could definitely use improvement, but that original vision and style is gone.

Deepwoken use to have this darker and more serious vibe to it, it was presented that way and it played that way briefly.

What a joke, the vibes of what we were promised in the directs, qnas, etc is completely different than what we got
I believe the main issue (or at least, what a lot of problems stem from) with deepwoken is how it’s formatted for you to play through a bunch of different slots and builds instead of having 1 continuous run, it gets rid of the attachment and partially why wiping feels tedious above all else, the devs have even said when your build gets old and outdated you’re just supposed to wipe it as if it was nothing
Wiping means nothing because the game has become a full sandbox. Everything is handed to you and they minimized progression so much that its basically just a downtime for chime.

This video is the exact reason Jetstriker is my favorite oath cause I feel like because it’s way less of a combat heavy exploration based oath that it feels more like Deepwoken’s original vision that has a fun and simple way to obtain it
Deepwoken is now a parkour game for me with my jetstriker build lol
Too bad theyre reworking it to be a more combat thing oath instead of a trackstar oath
Love this vid. Also I was the curved celtor dawnwalker!!! Atp I'd prefer a Deepwoken 2 over tryna fix this mess. I wish layer 1 was terrifying to a degree that a new player would never be able to escape. I wish it didn't have any essential things down there making the depths just there to wipe you.
i was excited for deepwoken because it looked so simplistic yet so amazingly huge. now it feels like a anime rpg game thats a bit cooler.

Verse 1 was ass and nobody played it (also had the lowest deepwoken playercount of all time)
because updates were dry as hell because verse 2 was being worked on (a game revamp), if we got new structures and bosses to fight biweekly then the playercount would obviously change@@babaloons4887

I thought the Depths would be both
scary and extremely interesting to explore.

The problem with deepwoken for me is definitely the lack of exploration.
I loved games like verdant moon, where the vibe of the game and exploration were very fun.
In deepwoken however, i have explored everything there is to explore.
The updates consist mostly of new end game stuff (new mantras, weapons etc.)
The devs said they dont want to just add ''the next island'' when that is literally how the game is currently.

TLDR: Permadeath doesn't belong in a game with PvP and travelling back after death to farm takes too long
its fun tho if you don't like it dont play lol

i feel like this issue also has to do with the way we start playing deepwoken
music is a big part of the feel of deepwoken as we play the game more lots of deepwoken players eventually turn off music
they also removed major parts of the progression before in verse 1 sure progression took longer but that gave you something to work towards and you could prog with your friends and have fun.
i feel like in verse 2 they made progression more irritating by making it 3 times as easy
talents you had to go do quests for are now handed out after hitting lvl 2
you no longer have to journey to hive to wash your face
you no longer need to do the gale stone quest for your weapon uncap
progression now is just doing trial of one going to depths getting lvl 18 then doing duke till lvl 20 getting bell and fighting kaido for ardour thats really it
when in verse you there was all sorts of ways to prog with your friends and verse 1 progression just really felt more memorable there was funny moments there was sad ones too
verse 1 progression had alot more to offer than verse 2 proggression
the bit about lore is sadly true since the only reason I can even surmise theres a war going on or that the world is sort of dooned is just by reading the wiki. games just creatively bankrupt now. sometimes I attempt to immerse myself through making a faction character then I get ran up on by various anime characters and Also Adolf Hitler Sonetimes For Some Reason
by the way do you actually think they’re gonna release a pre release version of the game? cuz that would be peak and i wanted to ask if you know anything else about it
Honestly because of the way deep was shown in the directs and pre release and features that the devs said they wanted to focus on, the new deep feels like they decided to turn the game 180 degrees and focus on entirely different things compared to what was advertised.

The thing about like the updates and balance patches we've been getting are almost revolved around chime completely
maybe a new update where a meteor came down or something like that, that makes all enchants loses its power making them not glowy anymore and just a regular weapon, just like a era reset, the noah's flood but in deepwoken , completely letting devs take a better step into the games future after what it has done
when I first started to play, I loved Etris and the sound design of it, I spent my whole day just exploring it and trying to get notes by getting wood and giving it to the npc, and then someone told
me to go to "bandit island" and I went to the secondary shore of Erisia and immediately died to the three bandits at the camp, I kept going back and I was slowly training at that camp, took me so long to kill those bandits, fun times.
Conquest is essentially verse 3 do you know that right?
@@ВладимирПахроменко ok? does that change my point? absolutely fucking not.
(or again, get carried)
And your very first task is to open a door with a key while on 2 separate timers (3 if you have light hook) while simultaneously blind with no map.
Ngl I was especially miffed when the “rewarding and slow” parry based style kinda disappeared cause I was legit hoping it to be like oldwoken pvp and I was originally crazy hyped for the complete mantra customization they promised ;-;
Theres a new game coming out called "Vinro Saga" That game has a cool parry system ngl there devs actally listen to players 2
we need more openworld content, like other luminant or part of already existing luminant but teleport like east luminant to reduce lag
You should really consider checking out abbadon, it does feel like old deep in some way, not in the anims but the actual atmosphere
To be completely fair, both Deepwoken and Rogue are FULL of references, thats not a new thing
What do i think about shrine of order? Personally I think it ruins the build making aspect of the game. It takes away from the feeling of having a stat at 100 giving you a build-defining talent.
shrine of order was a reference to the shrine of order in ror2 that was a useless meme shrine
it being what it is now is completely accidental
finally someone who addresses how the newer mantras are just outrageous and complete stray away from the simplistic (but nice) verse 1 mantras
enchants in general for weapons and some armor enchants are just a neon particle sponge, would love for a bunch of enchants to be subtle and only really pop off visually on proc or something, i mean hell sear is sure as hell searing my eyes making a bright neon yellow particle sponge,
Honestly I like this current version of deepwoken but for different reasons than others may do: I play on like 200 ping as the lowest and it's impossible for me to engage in parry trades, so I need to heavily rely on mantras for combat. Just hearing how you say that mantras back then were like a little thing and the main combat was with m1s makes me feel like I would've not enjoyed it at all. I like how I can do as much stuff as I want with my build, change stuff to try something new, Im dont know much about the old deepwoken but by the looks of it it looks kind of boring and slow paced.
good video cook again
Edit: I remember finding a enchanted spear on one of my older slots before enchants were nerfed and made more common, it was obfuscation which made it a long dagger pretty much lol
Ngl, the VFX spam is annoying as hell, I use a old as hell PC, it used to run the game at a smooth 150 fps on max graphics, but now I have to mod my roblox to have 21 settings and set it to 1 every single time I wanna fight a mf, permadeath is basically non-existent, I've never bought a last wind just bc I know in a day or two I can get back to max lvl if I wanted to, min-maxing has also made my buildmaking hellish, for example, my main build when verse 2 came out was a simple shadow star-kindred heavy with fireblade, it barely had 490 hp, and it could still compete but now, my main build which is a 3 weapon type class cannon weapon-mantra based build can BARELY compete due to mages and Elemental rebound (which doesn't exist for attunementless)
turned a good game into a sandbox
navae's retribution is one of the only quests that are actually fun, you fight with a revengfilled navaen and you beat the shit out of the authority
To this day there is no in-game explanation of what perfect casting is LOL
Deepwoken still feels like an adventure to new players
As for the artstyle id say just move down the flashy enchant effects
Ngl I kinda want the old mantras you have to create your own mantras I want to get a feel of that
I hope Veilbound devs hold up to their words, saying that players will influence change to the game's world
stitching in lore game is still one of the funniest things on roblox to me (while also making it so that I can enjoy the game)
@@alepapi9544 they were not massively op what bro yappin bout

-Back then, enchants were enjoyable to find and good regardless of what build
Absolutely not, are you saying that if i found a stiletto with grim it's better to use that over a krulian knife? So many variables are at play here, which enchant, what weapon you got it on, what star? (no smith alloy btw). If you find that fun then you do you but I don't like grinding for days just for the 1/1000 chance that I land a good enchant with a good weapon.
-By your logic, we should give curved and crypt to everyone
Bros taking words out of my mouth, I just wanted a surefire way to get good stuff that isn't RNG based.
-Hp kits on armor
Having 5 more hp or 1 more phys armor does not matter nearly as much as an insane powerup (steal armor, heal you on hit, do 1.1x damage). And guess what? theres an option to choose equipment enchants as well...
-Enchants aren't even that op
Lol.

If you don’t think any of these massively improve the build they’re paired with idk what to tell u tbh
