One thing that nobody has really mentioned is how cool the menu looks. It's easy to find things and also a video package playing is awesome because NHE menu screens were very boring
My main concern about the game that the first one didnt have is a trophy room where you can go and view all the trophies you have won and a record of how many times you won them at each track and seeing every championship trophy you've earned in your career journey in all series. Also a stat tracker like NASCAR 09 has where every top 5, top 10 and every Win in all 3 series was tracked and neat for you to always look at. Also need a stat tracker for online stats of top 5's top 10's and wins as well. NASCAR 09 had flags hanging above its series of how championships you've won in either of the 3 series so you knew how many of those you won in each series. Its very important to be able to look at your overall finishing and winning stats and having a trophy room for all your wins to go walk around and look at in a NASCAR game. I was pissed that I was blind to know how many wins and top 5's and top 10's I actually got overall in NASCAR heat. I hope they add a stat feature to keep track of it all in a easy to view menu like NASCAR 09 did. Also NASCAR 09 tracked every lap you have led as well as every where you led a lap and kept track of it all for you to view. It kept track of dnf's as well. I want that in NASCAR heat 2 as well.

Cars should start sliding, and possibly spin, when they get rammed in the bumper mid turn. At the very least, they should chase the car up the track. The AI still seems to be able to make unrealistic saves, however it is certainly an improvement over the last title. The player car doesn't seem to be as much of a ping pong ball but that's a bit hard to tell for sure without actually playing the game. I feel it will still be very enjoyable if/once the massive tire smoke is reduced somewhat. Trucks and Xfinity is an amazing addition to the game! Depending on how the career mode plays, this seems like it might feel quite similar to Dirt to Daytona, which would be amazing if that's the case. I don't particularly care how the games looks as long as it behaves well. This doesn't look great, but it's far from bad, and night racing looks great! Could be better, but I'd always rather the focus be on gameplay and mechanics.
Its a game that will at least be "good enough" for most people. This game is much more of a serious attempt than any of the ETX games. The graphics are sub-par but these physics are actually pretty good for a console NASCAR game. The graphics are improved in most notably the lighting (which honestly, looks pretty good this time around. With those two things in mind, a new damage model two new series, 6 new tracks and a revamped career mode with momentum and rivalries starting from the trucks, this will be a game that most people will enjoy and it will have replay value. The drafting has been updates as well, the crashes physics are little more realistic, the handling is more fluid. Good job 704, can't wait.
Also the more laps you run on a track the more rubber you lay down...such as on oval tracks around the turns. So you basically have to search the track for the best line to run...
One small thing i'd love to see them add back in is a replay of a crash. Sure its probably rare but if there is as accident that doesn't include the player I wouldn't mind actually seeing it. Other than that.. seems kinda like the last game with some improvements. I thought the last one was alright, the online i'm sure will be a cluster again with these people.
I don't like how you can only choose between 8, 28, 36, and 99 in creating a custom car, we should be able to use any number that's not already in the series. Also wish you can select different car number fonts.
I wish there were some type of visual effects showing when your "bump drafting" and "slingshotting" so you know your actually doing it right. Also when you were pushing it doesn't seem realistic or effective at all...maybe look into previous NASCAR games and see how they used those white air lines showing your in the draft
I wish the caution system would work better. It never flies unless it's a multicar crash, and even then it won't wave for 3-5 seconds while you fall in the field. If it's just you that crashes, no caution. I really hope they correct that from the heat evolution and does a better job in this game
This game actually dont look terrible.. love the bump drafting and that the ai dont stay bunched up on every track but there is alot of annoying bugs still

Boss man Hall they make it like that because it gives the player time to make adjustments, like if they did it by quals and you qualify last. Then you have no time to pick your options
Did you guys add tire blowouts or any mechanical malfunctions that could happen while racing whether to Player1 car or CPU cars?? When side by side with another car rubbing against one another it should cause a blowout
When adjusting the speed rating for difficulty, instead of just increasing the AI cars speed, it should focus more on AI aggressiveness and more AI blocking and passing on its own
I really hope we get more paint schemes in the xfinity series...I didn't see an option to change paint schemes on any of the xfinity cars during car selection when you guys were playing "split screen" because I can't wait to race xfinity in the #18 NOS paint scheme
I hope the career mode isn't a rubber band mode again. It really sucked when I passed someone in like 20th, then when 5 cars pit, I move to 15th and the cars I passed easily flies around me like 5 miles per hour faster and I'm like wtf....

I love every NASCAR game, but the one thing I hate is the crash physics. In Heat Evolution, bump hard in the front it goes completely flat. Forza 6, it only makes a crap ton of little dents on a big crash. Mobile versions, don't even get started with this.
Side drafting doesn't look that great. I would ask for a little more. The outside lane has to work at plate tracks. Side draft the car on the inside from the outside

I miss hoods flying off,engine blow ups,cars catching fire,and rivals,I remember when you hit someone or raced someone hard they became your rival and they would wreck you or try to wreck you and confront you after the race. They need to bring back lap by lap announcers,and the American anthem flyover and fireworks. NASCAR 04 was the best NASCAR game made.

Wow...I am pleasantly surprised, the AI CAN FINALLY WRECK NOW!!! AWESOME!!! I really hated the fact that in Nascar Heat Evolution the ONLY CAR WHO WAS EVER CRASHING WAS ME!!! All the other drivers were PERFECT NEVER CRASHED DRIVERS. That was part of the fun in Nascar 09 seeing other cars crash up the track an trying to avoid the wreck. Now they just have to add better damage graphics to the cars, and a 360 degree rotation outside camera view...then we will be good to go. Slowly but surely getting there. Good job...cant wait to play it.
truth hurts Nascar Heat the ai can wreck I was doing a 100 lap race and a ai crashed about three times causing cautions. A bigger track seems like they don’t as much.
I love NASCAR games, but there's one little pet peeve I have with all of them. The damage models. All these NASCAR games past and present have such unrealistic damage models. I mean, you can drive a car head first into a wall at 200 and you'll get a scratch and maybe the hood will have a kink in it. Why can't these makers experiment with a beamng-like soft model so that it challenges you to race clean? I hope that comes along very soon because when I do my career I want to have realistic results. Even the best drivers have DNFs and I want to get those same results if I mess up!
Ryan Morrison Well for PC the BeamNG Physics would work but if you would have physics like those on console it would blow it up bc PS4 or Xbox One couldn’t it
i agree that the damage modeling is not that advanced however this is most likely because of liscense reasons. However a beamng damage mdoel would not work too good but a Next Car Game style damage model would work nicely.

Still can't change controls, cautions doesn't show a replay of what happened. Still no assist controls. This is exactly like last game except with 3 series. I will give credit to career mode tho, I liked how that was set up.
