Bro that was absolutely the best advice I've ever heard about getting out of your comfort zone to do color. I'm just starting out so I'm going to stick to black and grey portraits but this really helped me understand color ones for when I start. Badass video and work man. Appreciate it!
@therealbronson Dude that's one of the most realistic tatts that I've ever seen. Portraits are hard and you've captured the exact likeness of running Forest Gump😄👍🏾
Im watching and re-watching these....you are honestly an amazing artist...thank you for pisting brother...it means the world to an aspiring artist like my self 🙏
Thanks so much for your support I’m so glad these videos are reaching the right people. All the best with your artistic progress new videos coming out very soon
Wow..u are amazing👍👍👍 can you give me one advice please..when I use Black & gray, everything is ok, but when I use colored ink., I smudge everything. I use World famous Ink and paper towel with water or green soap..I make a mess when I wipe. You use multiple times towel and no smudging. Ty soo much.
hi yes sometimes tattooing can be very messy especially without good paper towels I use "viva paper towels" but try some actual tattoo wipes this should make tattooing much more enjoyable for you
@@Tatucool hard to say exactly as some passes are lighter than others like a soft shade vs pack. Packing should be one pass two tops but try slow down and make it one. And then shading could be 5 maybe more if your softly building things with black and grey especially
Hi thanks so much for the support I will definitely keep the channel going intact I’m only just getting started now I have big plans for the future of this channel/community 💯
I know it ain't much, but you are really a good artist, so I did subscribe, I'm really looking forward to do some portrait tattoo's even if it's black and grey only yet
Something I've struggled with even with neotrad work is just how much rinsing the needles takes up time and cups. Is it just part of the process? Do you just end up having to go through like...10 rinse cups, and just have to let clients know this process takes longer (in part because of the constant rinsing if you're going between darker and lighter tones)?
@@theo4991 yes colour takes longer for sure I only use one rinse cup and maybe refresh it mid day usually just once. And I like to have my cartridges in those rinse cup/cartridge holders really helps keep them fresh
@therealbronson OK! Cool! You are packing the color in with higher voltage but lower for black & grey to get nice and smooth transitions. Is this why? I imagine one is a 4 stroke or higher and for black & grey a 3.5 stroke? Thanks!
thanks bro, sorry I don't have any experience with the brand one thing I like to do with new products is check there pro team and try message a few of the artist about it
Hey bro I had a quick look into the brand the pigments look great and I definitely wouldn’t be against using them myself. Are you going to buy a set of those inks?
@@therealbronson I’ve been using the base set myself and absolutely love it, I find I don’t need to use nearly as much as other brands to get an insane amount of coverage. I definitely love them , the yellows and oranges are so vibrant! Thanks for sharing your info it’s been a hell of a help to me, I definitely think you should give them a shot.
Amazing work and tips! Could I ask what stencil machine you are using? Did you just print out an actual photo of the tattoo design and hand drawn stenciled it? Thank you!
Hi the process is actually done using an inkjet printer and putting stencil ink inside it and special paper also, thanks for the support to find out more perhaps try TH-cam inkjet tattoo stencil.
Hi Thankyou for the support. I own two inkjecta nano machines I have had to send one in to get the motor fixed but customer service is great so it didn’t take long.(I have not replaced the cam changing the stroke)
How come you put the image facing back instead of forward like what is normally the norm when it comes to placing stencils, obviously there are exceptions like inner forearm, inner bicep, etc but why facing back in this placement? Very nice piece though 👊
Hi great question this thigh is going to be filled with colour portraits and the one above the last image will face the other way to be able to fit in tighter to the last.unless it’s a full portrait area like this I agree allways have the image facing forward.
Hey man you do amazing work, I also do color photorealism but trying to learn it in tattooing too. Do you have any tips how to match colors when tattooing. I noticed that once the color is injected it has a strong color shift
Hi Thankyou. Do you mean matching the ink colour to your reference colour if so I allways find painting makes for very good colour tattoo artist I try and do afew oil paintings a year to stay learning and continuing to make accurate colour tones/ colour decisions while tattooing.
hi this tattoo was done with the Inkjecta nano, and the needles are Kwadron for mags, and wjx for my liners, thanks. I am currently using the dragon hawk fold pro as my daily machine its great.
Great videos! I'm curious about how you can make your stencils. Do you hand draw them on the back of the actual picture with a transfer pencil? I've looked and can't seem to find one like it. What sort of pencil, what's it called and where can I you get them? Thanks
Yes this was just a hand stencil with spirit stencil paper and a pen. If you want a really nice line on your stencil put a piece of paper under it it makes it much bolder

Your words really felt here. Getting out of our comfortable zone is something necessary to achieve greater things
so true right even in art we need to take risks and be disciplined. especially at higher levels or to achieve better results
