I used to guide on the New River and have been by there many times. I took some friends there one time and was looking under rocks. We found a old medicine bottle and coke bottle with Mabscott on it. I actually lived in Mabscott at the time. Really cool trip. Thank you for sharing this.
I had an Uncle that was severly wounded by machine gun fire in WW 2 and he spent time at the McKendree Hospital before being transferred to the Greenbriar Hospital.

Brick from McKendree was used to make the Mason's building in Danese WV.
That building is right beside my mom and dad’s home in Danese.
