    J. Harry Shayne was one of the best known house rent party pianists in Chicago in the 1930's. Shayne only cut one record that decade under his own name, but he was known to have worked as a sideman with Lil Johnson, Victoria Spivey and others. Two sides recorded for Vocalion in 1936 were never issued. In 1946 he backed Bertha "Chippie" Hill on some recordings, and managed to record his second and final disc on his own billed as J.H. Shayne, for Circle that same year.

    Pete Johnson and Jimmy Blythe play this song fantastic! Tatum tries but turns it into an ego trip (wish I could play like him this : ) )
