There's something here about parenting. I'm not talking about kids being told off, I'm talking about kids not being allowed to explore their feelings. A recent example, a young lad I know got dumped by his girl. He was gutted. My parents would have said something like "ah, behave, what do you know about love. She was a horror anyway" thinking that they were helping. But they are just getting you to suppress your feelings. But this lad I know, his mum talked it through with him, how did he feel, and let him cry and gave him a hug. Didn't shut him down, didn't tell him to suck it up and get on with it. Think about that. It's not just about telling your kids off, it's also about letting them be human and be allowed to have feelings, not shamed for them.

They don't do anything to prevent recidivism. In fact, they almost encourage it, with their inaction. The attitude of *"Why should we reward ex-criminals with help. When we can't afford to help those, that choose NOT to commit crime"* When just a little help, would prevent recidivism and help prevent further victims from suffering. Think of it as doing it for those potential future victims. Not the ex-criminals.
Good interview Bill. There are a lot of men that will not open up. The thin line between anger and vulnerability hit the nail on the head. Men will react with anger/violence as opposed to opening up and being vulnerable as they see that as weakness. I think a lot of that stems from family and environment. We want to be seen as strong and dependable but we're still humans with thoughts and feelings.
How thre F did the mupets in the legal system lock the guy up for most his life over an attack that left no fatalities (also considering his Dad had just been murdered). UK legal system is broken and only creates more violence in the streets.

I think it's about honestly here. The poor lads a big drinker and has chopped a lads hand off. So you give him a few years in jug and he comes out and then what happens? I cannot imagine somebody living with the threat of prison hanging over them for years. It is cruel. Pre sentence reports are a joke I killed someone in car acc when I was a kid I stayed in scene called ambulance and went guilty first opportunity after two no comment interviews on advice anyway the probation nob said I wasn't remorseful which was bollocks be ause I wouldn't cry I tho ghtccrying was selfish but the judge only gave me 2 years anyway it was accident brought in by both of us both rushing to work it's still with me 25 years later no remorse what a wanker they can ruin good mans life with no thought really

The sentence he got ipp (life) for. Before that every time andy drank he went an absolutely battered strangers, loads of times, he was always getting nicked for assault. Its amazing how the system works. I remember going to cover a fraud case in London involving the boss of a Liverpool security firm and in one of the breaks he told me he macheted to death a woman and her daughter and was out on licence after eight and a half year. Looked it up and it was true; Mr Panama Jones.

They said he would get 4 but they deemed him a danger to the public after an assessment so gave him 99? He tried to kill someone, a severed hand is a defensive wound so he was aiming for the head! Blames it on family deaths, the area he grew up in and substance abuse

the paperwork for the recall states they get authority from the secretary of state and i can not find where the secretary of state has signed any document bringing recall into force including the correct legislation...the people are being shafted AGAIN...peace
