Gotta love the dig on the FMJ's lol
Where's the Ranch Fairy?
I shot a doe two years ago with 1025 grain Grizzlystik just for the fun of it. Blew right through her. It was pretty underwhelming. I have them for the safari my wife won't let me go on unless I take her to Paris. 😏 Yep, that aint happening.
I'd like to ask you about that arrow. I got my hands on the grizzlystik momentum TDT 170s and I wanted to build a stupid heavy arrow similar to that. What bow specs, point weight, and shaft length did you use?
@josephporfido2433 First, what is the draw length and weight on the bow you intend to shoot them out of?
In the late 70s early 80s 200fps was considered fast
Could have done the black eagle rampage shaft very easy with it being over 500 grains with just the shaft.
I recently appreciated the benefits of a collar on arrow after hitting a rock mound behind target. I was able to continue to sight in bow at 60 yards with same arrow. Test different manufacturer’s collars/outserts durability against rocks or concrete. Loving the lab series!!
That was freaking crazy guys! Good stuff!
Love your videos, very educational. I was wondering if you could make a video on arrow tuning and what happens if you dont cut your arrow what happens to the arrow. Also how does adding weight too the front affect arrow flight.
So one that I have only seen on one video you should look at bishop arrows or broadheads. Great company and one amazing quality
Recoil from a bow? Right on. Great fun.
I like the lab coat 🤣 Thanks for building my arrows this week...
Must be nice my recurve setup is 55lb 723 grain arrow getting roughly 160fps lol would love to have 200fps
Great video!! But how light can you build a arrow??🤔🤔
I have my Hoyt Trykon set up with an 825 grain that has a 250 grain cutthroat single bevel all on 200 shaft. Shoots 210 fps. Bow is Super SUPER quiet! It's dead nuts out to 50 yds.
I never felt a difference in the way the bow shot (jumping out of my hand) when I went up in weight. I just have to make sure my targets are well supported or it will knock them clean over.
I've had so many comment about "longer time" ( only adds a couple 100ths to a 10th of a second to Time-to-Target). Or if I miss judge distance. ( If I miss judge by 5 yards it's low/high by 2 inches... practicewith it all the time)
I just absolutely love how quieter the bow is, and I can tuck the arrow up forward on the deer without ever worrying about a bone.
Misjudge by 5 yards yields +|- 2 inches? What distance are you referring to?
@@MrRazorback1975 20 yd 1.5" 30 yd 2.5" 40yd 4" most if not all my shots are within 30 yds.
Wow, talk about kanetic energy! You can either shoot it or throw it like a javelin!
As someone that shoots a 744 through a biscuit it’s an easy fix. Super glue on the black bristles. Also 4 no problems with 4 fletch and full helical.
Wow that's sounds like power shoot penteration is massive great video love Easton ❤️ can purchase one or is it prototype
Prime life I love my Rvx in the hammer gray where did you get that prime shirt ????
Very interesting. Thank you gentlemen. Happy hunting.
Great vid...next up we need an EDC dump on that reverse fanny pack...
You guys should test APA bows King cobra dg with that arrow setup.
“I’m surprised it hasn’t bent yet..” 😂 Shops around here won’t sell them or put people on to them for that reason.
Okay, i know what arrow I'm building next time my grandsons visit. I've got to see what an arrow like that will do through my OG PSE Xpedite with *)lb limbs 🙂
How much faster can I expect an 80 pound bow to do it compared to 70?
Did I miss it or did you not shoot it with a 80lb bow ?
Can you get a bareshaft to tune bullet hole at 15 yards?
What types of Brodhead mechanical or foot ball open on impact got 10 point buck slap thur no running it dwn it just drop plus i love that bows hoping to afford one ❤
What's the kenitic energy in that arrow at 200 FPS?
It’s only 88fp at 200fps and 1000 for reference a 585gr arrow at 260fps is 87fp
Would love to see the drop of this arrow at 20, 30, and 40 yards. To see what spped it maintains.
I had almost 6 inches of drop with my current setup to that arrow at 20 yards.
Well yoj have just discovered a clout archery arrow thats a standard clout archery arrow setup mine are fmj’s 300g points with tig welding rods in the insert we shoot at 180meters into the ground
John Dudley has left the channel
I shoot 725 grain arrow. And like u said the bow is so quiet. And the arrow just blow rigth throw the white tail
Can y’all review the Tac vanes lrp arrows
What part of arrow weight doesn’t equal penetration does anyone not understand?
Ranch Fairy would love u❤! 🤣
Link the arrow components please 👍🏿
That was cool !
Let me get that arrow for my recurve!
Great vid guys
I love the lab coat! 😂
Now can you do the other end of the spectrum 😂
Maybe use Victory rip xv 350 spine and make it as light as possible...lol
Great video
That was awesome
Go get the fairy! I really do think the industry needs to be pushing heavier arrows in general.
Would be interesting to compare crossbow speeds with a 1,000 grain arrow too (like a tenpoint nitro) to see the efficiency differences.
I did a penetration test between 866 and 1782 grain arrows. Results were staggering here > th-cam.com/users/shortsS_46YgYRcbw?si=pRllFnzME6n-3oB6
Ranch Fairy approved twizzle stick :)
Cool video . Bows way quite
I believe I've used a thousand grain arrow before but I call it a " Spear", lol.
Hell ya!
Goooo Pse
I've heard JR refer to his Marine Corps background and you appear to be former military. I'm sure you laugh at the nasty grams sent your way. Marines are not known as "leather necks" for not being tough.
K.E. 💪🏾🎯😊
Test speed at 50 yards and wind accuracy out to 100
That thing would go through Godzilla.
100 yard challenge with a bare shaft and only a 25g glue in feild point
I’ll send you some 300 points. Try putting 5 or six in a quiver…
_Bowfishing?_ 😏
Hello
Lab coat
For anyone else wondering why (like myself) the answer is why not, and aliens.
😂
This video 🤣🤣🤣
Those kind of arrow weights serve no purpose. It’s funny watching how the narrative shifts over time in the archery community
I had to stop watching as you put a 4 fletch arrow through a 3 slot Hostage rest...🤕🙄
That feel is the bow pushing back into your hand. Making that bow work.😅
