Ive been eating at Chidambram's for the last 30 years. Their quality, courteousness and service is admirable and has not changed. So much so, that now even if I get it deliverd, I just have to call them and request for a little customisation, and they do it willingly

I have been visiting to the Jantar Mantar dosa place. I agree with you, the aloo with sweetness of onion is the best you will get. Their sambar is watery, and too salty, may be to discourage us North Indians, who are the main consumers of sambar.
As someone who has lived in the Lodhi colony for more than a decade, if you compare dosa to dosa - Anna is better than Chidambaram, but if you are concerned with hygiene the Chidambaram is better. Now I live in dwarka and no one comes close to these both.
