I really don't believe nothing from what Lt Gen Bamaiyi said, he should have being able to say all of those statement of head if all what he said was the truth, anyway God knows best
My conclusion on this coup was, Bamaiyi and Diya planned the coup. Bamaiyi leaked it to Abacha, in case it failed, while internally acting sincerely with Diya to effect the coup. Abacha planted AlMustafa and Sabo to play along with them. Bamaiyi went on with the plan, wanting to swindle AlMustafa and go on with the coup. AlMustafa and Sabo played smarter than him and stopped the coup. Diya and his boys were arrested, while Bamaiyi and his sides were exonerated. The Good (AlMustafa), the bad (Diya) and the ugly (Bamaiyi).
from my own listening I observed that Al mustapha was the one who leaked the whole thing to his boss Gen sanni abacha because the man is very loyal to his c in c
Bamaiyi bail himself out by reporting to Abacha probably because the conduct of Diya during the planning was capable of compromising concealment. I believe it was Diya/Bamaiyi coup no doubt
He might have reported to Abacha to play two faces. If you listen to general Sabo's account you will understand. Sabo and Almustafa were wary of Bamaiyi who was supposed to play along with the two of them and the C-in-C.
@@nurajafar8366 Everyone was wary of Bamaiyi, besides he was under surveillance for planning a coup by the intelligence boys before this so called Diya coup. He may have sold a dummy to Diya or perhaps Diya wasn't discreet enough for Bamaiyi's liking
Diya obviously conceived the coup. But I’m very sure Bamaiyi was planning a mini coup inside the Main coup! In the spirit of reconciliation and truth, Diya should have accepted responsibility.
by all indication, Diya is more of a lier than them all put together, because it is his own argument that is not coordinated, it is full of many explanations that is not adding up.

As made believed Diya hatched the (setup)coup with Azeeza and asked Azeeza to inform bamaiyi then bamaiyi went straight to Abacha to report the coup because he didn't want to be part of it.
