What a beautiful, sunny day for walking with the herd. Their reaction to strange smells is amazing. Everyone on high alert until they decide it's all right to move on. Those thorny bushes look deadly! Sitting here watching I struggle to capture the enormity of all these beautiful elephants just living their lives.
This one has made my "must watch list :) That display of sycronized "Hold on what was that sound/smell" turning was so unexpected and amazing to watch. Thank you
Watching them walk through the bush in quiet and peace grounds me in a way I can’t really explain. It always brings me back to the present and reminds me that my life is but a small part in a very big world.
What A Spectacular View of Beauty.... The Sunrise as the Elephants walk to Enjoy The Start of a New Day.... Lush Greenery for Early Morning Foragers...... 💫🌟❤🐘❤🌟💫
They came to a stand still at first. Then smelling the green grass.they must love the greenery.oooo saw a puddle .didn't realize the water hole was so close to the homestead. Luv the eles🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
I love waking up to see my favorite elephant family 🐘. I see that Bubi's 🐘 wound is still being treated. Lundi 🐘 is on her own mission in the opposite direction 😅. Such a peaceful walk in the bush. Khaynisa 🐘 can not hardly be seen as she is in the middle and her family is all around her. Thank you Adine for taking us on another bush adventure with the Jabulani HERD. ❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
Lovely to see all these beautiful elephants going on their daily walk together. Our little princess has settled in really well with the herd, and she gets bigger every time I watch your videos. She is absolutely gorgeous and can be so funny sometimes. Thank you for sharing all these wonderful stories and videos.
Ahh the soothing sound of soft sandy ellie steps! How amazing when they caught the scent and all turned; Tokwe rushing over to see and Somopane. Almost everyone stopped for a snack with all the greeness available. Bubi and Fishan are such a cute loving couple. Love their eyes.😍🇺🇸
My 3 fave moments: when they smelled the lions and majestic Somopane walked over to very lovingly hug an alert Tokwe with his trunk and offer assurance and comfort, Tokwe's loving eye looking at Adine and me pretending I'm walking with them as part of the herd, loving every second. A lot of love there.
This is so peaceful to watch. The elephants remind me to take things a little bit slower, to stop a moment and enjoy the scenery…whatever that may be. I admit, this herd is very special to me. I check in every day to see what they’re doing. ❤️
Most interesting... When the adults scented whatever it was not only did they turn as a group in the direction of the scent but they also gathered around the youngsters so well that you can't see them in the picture!! Best guardians ever (After me and my daughter) !!👍😘🤗
The Ellies are wonderful to watch but my favorite part is watching their interactions with their humans - to watch a giant bull elephant come over to greet her human is awesome (that is such a meek weak word to describe that greeting). I think I would cry every time they touched me - out of love, not fear.
Dinah, well said. I couldn't agree more and definitely think I'd shed tears of joy when being amongst the Jabulani Herd as well. Adine and the entire HERD crew work so hard and give so selflessly to the ellies, that it must feel like the most amazing reward to walk alongside and share their lives with such amazing elephants. I give HERD complete credit for my immense love of elephants and will always donate to them as a way of saying thank you for what they've added to my life and my heart. Spending time at Jabulani with the Herd is literally at the top of my bucket list! Happiest of holidays to you, Dinah, to all of HERD's followers, and to everyone at HERD!!! ❤️❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️❤️
Yeaaah, always thought of that, the peace and tranquility that surrounds you all day every day. The same as the rest who come over here to watch, these videos bring me much inner tranquility.
Loved this. I struggle with insomnia. After watching the video the first time I put it back on and then closed my eyes and just listened. Very peaceful and relaxing. Eventually I fell asleep.
When I go out of the house, there are these ugly big cars, stinking and making noises. Wenn you go out of the house, you are up close and personal with beautiful, gentle creatures. By now I can easily make out each and every elephant from the distance. Knowing also, that if I spot X, then mostly Y should be near somewhere and so on. It's such a joy. Somopane strolls always so peaceful and friendly. Nice to have seen him and of course Bubi with her beautiful, soft eyes.
So Sweet 😍😍😍i love watching the elephants, 🐘🐘🐘always looking so wonderful out around. So happy they have some incredible caretakers that really Shows So Much Love/Care for the elephants and sheep🐑🐘thanks for sharing and everyone have a bless day. Hugs And Prayers🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐑😍🎅
Oh, how we all love these Gorgeous Ellies!!! God bless you Adine and all the Wonderful Carers!! Happy New Year and looking forward to a Great New Year filled with Peace, Joy and Health!🙏🏻💜🌟🐘🙏🏻💜🌟🐘🙏🏻💜🌟🐘🙏🏻💜🌟
Such a Joy to see the herd on their walk to the waterhole😍 so Beautiful makes me Jelous not walking with them I really Love them so much!!! ❤️🥰🐘🥰❤️ MERRY CHRISTMAS ADINE, CARERS AND THIS BEAUTIFUL HERD🧑🎄❤️ LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH ❤️🥰🐘🥰❤️🧑🎄
Hello! It's so cute how you say Hello to the HERD. "Like mother like daugther" Lundi has a mind of her own just like our dear Meisiekind. Lundi has a wandering spirit just like Khanyisa. And even though they are not related by blood, Khanyis could have picked that independent streak she has from Luntz LOL ;) I pay close attention to what you say, Adine! haha! One thing that really caught my attention in this video is just how beautiful Somopane's tusks are. I hope you all had a nice Christmas. It's really comforting to see the HERD walking side by side yet wanting to venture out into the lush reserve. The Carers sure have their work cut out for them keeping track of all of them! Thank you!
Watching the elephants always brings me peace. The photography is beautiful. Seeing Adine’s shadow walking behind the herd amazes me. It’s all a great joy to watch. Thank you!
At 1:08/09, when Tokwe turns her head to the left it looks to me like she’s checking on her humans’ safety, too. A few seconds later, look how quickly she responds when her idol Adine casually says her name while talking to Tigere. She’s such a great ellie, fantastic Matriarch.
This video, more than some others for me, shows the peace and grace of nature and the essential necessity of nature for human survival. That is not pie in the sky, it is our choice and humans have the technology, the skills, and only need the will to become engaged, part of, the nature we arose from. I live in a city where the prunes are wrapped individually for convenience, where the bins for trash collection are overflowing including furniture, household item and clothes the donation shops can no longer handle--they are stuffed, where parts of the city are left abandoned, the given reasoning it is cheaper to build new than to rehab. Our grocery stores daily throw into garbage fruits and produce deemed too unattractive for display and sale. OK, I'm old, and we used to make applesauce and mash for the farm animals or finally compost. Our chickens fed largely in the vegetable (fenced) garden with about 2% loss of chickens to predators--chickens are fabulous reproducers. Stores say they compost but investigation in more instances than not show the produce and a lot of meat end up landfills. I am astounded by the packs of 24 and 48 bottled water on the carts of fellow shoppers, even suggesting a reusable, long term water filter at home is met with shrugs, again, too inconvenient. Americans, even those with restricted incomes, often eat meat two and often three times a day--at every meal. These are not wealthy people, some are in dire straits, but my culture has told us this is now normal in day to day life. One supermarket in my city where there are several hundred, could feed a mid-side village for months, yet almost one-third of what is in the store will be discarded. So for those of us on a budget, wanting to benefit a couple of reserves or sanctuaries or rescues, small donations when enough people are willing can be the life blood for the price of a couple of items in your grocery trolley/cart. And, a couple of small donations mean you can choose both a domestic and a wildlife organization.
Well said Anne. As a fellow American, I admittedly have to remind myself from time to time just how lucky I am (and I'm barely keeping afloat in the middle class) to live here, while realizing we could do so much better to help the most vulnerable amongst us -animals included. Why we don't make it mandatory for grocery stores and restaurants to donate discarded food that's still perfectly edible blows my mind. Other countries do. While I know there are thrift shops like Goodwill and Salvation Army everywhere, here in Phoenix there are a few places you can donate to thrift stores that specifically benefit animal non profit organizations. Unfortunately there's not enough of these shops for as big as Phoenix is. But where I'm from in Indiana, there are no thrift stores to benefit animal non profits. I hope that changes sometime soon. It takes so little to help others. Happy holidays to you!! ❤️
Another morning watching the elephants walk in the bush. I love when each one is called out individually and when the captions narrate what’s happening. ❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘❤️
So peaceful to watch them all walk together. It relaxes me in a way that is hard to explain. They are so beautiful and so is their human herd too. You are all remarkable❤
If someone could get in front of the herd and record them walking and they start doing the bobble head would be so awesome!!! I love that walk but I can’t remember the correct way to say it!!! Amazing in the morning for me. Saginaw Michigan
They smell something amiss, turn in unison to form that protective 360 observation…I would feel so safe knowing they share an early warning system. Just wow. ❤❤❤
It does go towards many different things from Khanyisa’s milk(which is one of the most expensive needs)to pellets and of course Sunshine’s most favorite things her apples and sweet potatoes.🐘❤️So thank you for what you do send.
I would love to be part of the herd to walk with these giants and the amazing way they watch out for each other its a wonderful way of life we should all want
At this point I know for a fact, if it weren't for their size, elephants would be offered to work with humans or even other animals in need as therapy animals. No doubt in my mind. Actually, they already do with other animals when you consider the rehab of our princess braveheart Khanysia. Without the HERD and their human carers she never would have made it. They are truly a blessing from God for healing.
Fascinating to see the genetic traits passed down from mother to daughter.. I really love to watch the herd peacefully munching, and gracefully moving together in roughly the same direction - except when they don't of course! I love them all, each one as beautiful as the next. It's summer here too - in Australia; hot and humid over Xmas. My husband is S African and I know and love that part of the world well - although he's from much further south. If I hear Afrikaans and it's not translated, I always call him in to tell me what's happening. Happy New Year to all, elephants and humans alike.
Bubi’s butt looks like it’s healing really well. It’s hard to find Khanyisa now, because she’s not the little pink baby, running between legs and under bodies. Great video. Thanks.
🌞 GOOD MORNING "SUNSHINE" 🌞 AND THE REST OF THE "JABULANI" HERD!!!....THIS MORNING IS SO VISUALLY STRIKING.....IT'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL....BRINGS "PEACE" TO MY HEART AND MIND.....WONDERFUL "GIFT" FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!......💕💕💕🎄😎🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🇺🇸🎄
What a very relaxing afternoon for me laying here in bed with either a cold or Bronchitis and enjoying our precious Herd!🥰🥰❤️❤️😘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘 I have to say that I loved watching Jabu and Fishon because they both were in their own world and doing their own thing on each side of the line of elephants and when Adine was calling for them (Especially) Jabu (I think it was) where he acted like he was wanting you to know that he was busy taking a dirt bath and he will be with you when he was done.😂😂❤️🐘 And then Fishon was eating and he felt it was more important then answering to you Adine until he was done eating.😂🥰❤️🐘 I tell you, these elephants sure definitely have minds of their own. Especially sweet Khanyisa when she is definitely a free spirit and will go wherever her hearts desire.🥰❤️🐘😂 Thank you always for bringing us into your world with the elephants cause it is such a learning experience and it’s so nice to get to see too what they do in parts of their days. I love you Adine and the Carers for taking care of the elephants and being their friends too cause they really do love each and every human that cares for them too.❤️🐘🥰 My love and hugs to Fishon and Jabu always!😘😘❤️❤️🐘🐘🙏🏻 Khanyisa girl, keep up with your spunkiness and determination to always show everyone you aren’t an elephant to reckon with. Hugs, love, and blessings to you all! Sue M.(Florida, USA)❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🙏🏻🥰😘🎄☃️❌⭕️❌⭕️
The guys and gals even with Fish's injury know he is still the man and ya just don't mess with him. He will put you in your place hands down, or should I say trunks down.
💞🎄✨So beautiful to see them strolling through, going about their day, in the best way possible. 🐘💜Alert, stop, there’s a sniff of interest out there somewhere, tweaking our curiosity. 🐘💚 Lundi is on a mission to discover new patches of greens 🥬 🐘💝Another peaceful day out on their meanderings. 🐘🌿💗
Adine, I was wondering why the nursery hasn’t received any more calfs? The draught has caused a generation of orphan calves. Thank you for sharing HERD with us all.
One can only guess , but mayb the South African Govt has mandated that only a certain number of elephants can accommodate the reserve . This is just a guess tho .
Elizabeth, you're correct. Males typically leave their herd and are found either solo or in small groups of other bachelors. This herd is extremely unique and fascinating in many ways, one being that the males really haven't expressed the need to leave, but might occasionally go on an overnight excursion before returning to the herd. Adine and the carers know this could change (at least with the adolescent bulls, Zindoga and Mambo...) and will always respect what nature demands of the bulls. ❤️🐘❤️
helllo everyone i hope u had a merrry christmas and a wonderful holiday for yu alll the elephants have never beeen so beautiful in my whole life love and blessings to u alllll to alll my beautiful babies be goood
Gorgeous day by the looks of it. Not a cloud in the sky on your way to the waterhole 😍 That moment looking into Tokwe’s eye at 10:57 was beautiful…you’re peering into another creatures soul, and it’s looking back at you Also what was that about lions at 11:21?
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!🎀🎄🎁 JABULANI, SEBAKWE, SETOMBE, SOMOPANE, TOKWE, LIMPOPO, PISA, LUNDI, MAMBO, BY BUBI, ZINDOGA, TIMISA, KHANYISA, KUMBURA, FISHAN, AND KLASERIE!!!; AND NUNGO AND LAMMIE THE LEGEND OF COURSE!!! LOL!!!😃... AND A VERY BLESSED NEW YEAR!!!🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐑🐑🎊🎈🎉🔥🔥💥😍💜💖💕💝🙏➕👑📖🔥🔥🔥👍
I hope everyone had great holiday. I hope Herman is on the mend and at work soon. Does this herd have babies? or the only babies that come into this herd is like Khanyisa (orphan's?) I love how Fishan doesn't look like this is a good morning so far. I bet his leg is stiff.. What spooked the herd in the beginning? Do the Bull's always walk behind the Females? or do the Bull's walk some in front or on the sides? Sorry I ask alot of questions I have always loved Elephants and to get to see the up close I'm so excited I could start dancing. The one bush looked like it a big needles on it. Would that hurt there months? I think it's so GREAT that even tho Fishan is NOT up to par and won't be again. the other bulls still give him respect!!❤❤
This video is also very good for perspective. I know they're elephants and they're big but you can't always tell because they're with each other. When you see the carers in the background they look like dolls... very very small. Jabulani and Fish are really tall in comparison to the younger generation and the females. Good video. Thanks.
Simply beautiful, ty for sharing!
✌️❤️✌️
What a beautiful, sunny day for walking with the herd. Their reaction to strange smells is amazing. Everyone on high alert until they decide it's all right to move on. Those thorny bushes look deadly! Sitting here watching I struggle to capture the enormity of all these beautiful elephants just living their lives.
I feel so much peace and calm watching them. They truly are a beautiful herd of elephants!
Beautiful walk in the bush. Baby K is doing so well and so loved by HERD.
❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘❤️🐘
This one has made my "must watch list :) That display of sycronized "Hold on what was that sound/smell" turning was so unexpected and amazing to watch. Thank you
They are so amazing, the way they react to perceived dangers is AWESOME👍💪
listening to these beautiful elephants 🐘 is the most relaxing thing to do. I love the sound of them walking.
Thank you forever for sharing this.

A lot of love there.
The IMMEDIATE LEFT TURN not missing a step... these sweet graceful animals. If humans were this caring & loving the world would be great...
This is so peaceful to watch. The elephants remind me to take things a little bit slower, to stop a moment and enjoy the scenery…whatever that may be. I admit, this herd is very special to me. I check in every day to see what they’re doing. ❤️

Instant reaction! Impressive! Could Bubi's bum still need a bit of care as a precaution? Lazy walk are so satisfying. Thank you HERD
It is like a school outing, with the girls & boys walking seperately.

I do enjoy their walks 🥰❤️🙏❤️
💞🎄✨So beautiful to see them strolling through, going about their day, in the best way possible.
🐘💜Alert, stop, there’s a sniff of interest out there somewhere, tweaking our curiosity. 🐘💚
Lundi is on a mission to discover new patches of greens 🥬
🐘💝Another peaceful day out on their meanderings. 🐘🌿💗
Adine, I was wondering why the nursery hasn’t received any more calfs? The draught has caused a generation of orphan calves.
Thank you for sharing HERD with us all.
Oh, lots of elephants died in Southern Africa?
One can only guess , but mayb the South African Govt has mandated that only a certain number of elephants can accommodate the reserve . This is just a guess tho .
This is amazing. They look all content; enjoying a stroll together.
I thought male elephants 🐘 formed their own herd from female elephants 🐘.
I feel so much love when I see them walking 😊❤️
Lovely to see them walking around together on a beautiful day~👍
Thank you for sharing this video~🤗
Such wise eyes on Tokwe!
You must be getting great exercise walking with the Herd. I enjoy watching very much.
at time 1.22 was something majestic about it, i had to see it more than one time.
Love seeing Fishan 💗🙏
I needed this to today. Thanks so much💞💞

Gorgeous day by the looks of it. Not a cloud in the sky on your way to the waterhole 😍
That moment looking into Tokwe’s eye at 10:57 was beautiful…you’re peering into another creatures soul, and it’s looking back at you
Also what was that about lions at 11:21?
🐘🐘.
What a community and tight bonding
Your videos have made elephants my favorite animal of all!
It is so amazing how the elephants make no sounds as they walk but I can hear the careers walking.
Beautiful

Who is the father of Limpopo ???
Who is Mambo's father ???
Is the waterhole fed by a natural spring, or where is the water from ???
Please leave the caption up a bit longer for those of us who have bad eyes and need to refocus to read them.
Beautiful to see Khanyisa loving her HERD & enjoying life, without a care in the world. Thank you for sharing Adine 👍❤
This video is also very good for perspective. I know they're elephants and they're big but you can't always tell because they're with each other. When you see the carers in the background they look like dolls... very very small. Jabulani and Fish are really tall in comparison to the younger generation and the females. Good video. Thanks.
