Question, whats the reasoning behind using two eq's at 3:05 to both cut out the low end? Is one not enough and should I be doing this every time?
Nah, he most likely did it because he wanted the low end of the melody to be quiet throughout all of the beat BUT at certain times he wanted even more of the low end to be removed as well as a bit of the high end. So in short the first one EQ is always on but the second EQ is used with automation on different sections.

@N08 soft clip it on the master channel. Turn the "threshold" almost all the to the left and turn The "Post" almost all the way to right.
