In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Defect. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. This is one of those runs where you are so overpowered that it's intoxicating. No strategy needed! Just click cards until the boss is dead.

Even better than the relics. Somehow this was a low-attacks defect act 1 that hit 5 elites with no nobs. That's a magical seed right there.
This seed has got to be every defect player's favorite dream
Not having to worry about Energy, Lining up echo form with Self repair and Genetic Algorithm. Pellets with Biased cognition, Bottled Heatsinks which solves act4 defect's turn 1 and 2

I missed why he said “How about 3 storms on turn 1?” So I skipped back twice and I ended up two fights before that happened. 😮
the storm was so intense we couldn't see the score at the end
The lust for power was too great, to the point where Baalorlord seemed power hungry. The deck didn't lack drawing power or buying power.
But perhaps he was having an internal power struggle within himself for using a seeded run, but didn't care since it was so much fun being a power house.
With that much power, you hold all the cards. I'm just glad he is using his content for the powers of good.. so much pulling power to attract more people to the channel. More power to you!

This act 1 relic bar is the type of thing that carries you to your first low-ascension heart kill and makes you say "wow, defect must be OP!"

It's weird, videos are already an hour or two, would it hurt to include one extra minute with the scores?

Wasn't the starting deck just 2 upgrades away from going infinite here? Coolheaded+, Fusion+, and Skim should be infinite. Theres even room for the Streamline in there.
Just saw the mummy hand drop, this deck doesn't need to go infinite to win lmao
You need dualcast (not upgraded i think) for this infinite. It generates infinite block but does bo damage
@@lucasvivante8988 If you get the streamline to 0 cost you can add it into the loop for you damage. Upgrading zap also would work. The loop would be fusion+, coolheaded+, fusion+, streamline/zap, skim, and repeat. This would spend 4 energy and evoke 2 plasma per loop. The dualcast would be very helpful in getting it off the ground though.

Too boring to watch past like 10-15 minutes. Any player that loses with those card/relic benefits handed to them would be a truly awful player.
