You may have noticed that his death was the only mercy kill in the game, but it's also implied through his dialogue that his mother cares about him and his safety, so she could be one of the only people that is trying to get the crew home safe. Oh and for Anya, it was mentioned that she has a son who is most likely orphaned now as it's implied that his dad isn't in the picture. If only Jimbo wasn't such a cowered about facing the consciences of his actions.

But daisuke is a person of color and that actually shows and that’s rare in media now so whitewashing him is really racist.
