    I have one problem one when you have to put a hard drive to your iPad you have to use exfat specially if you want to use it in a PC and exfat is not a very stable format I've had a lot of data corrupted going from PC to iPad and the formatting sucks for the iPad

    Does this take over your system audio once pugged in? The Acasis does this and is not favorable. The ideal setup would be to engage once plugged in, still allowing you to use iPad speakers. Can you confirm? @Patrick Rambles

    Looks cool, but almost a year has gone by and it is still only on the funds page? What are your thoughts of the
    ACASIS after having it for long time now? There are several complaints about it on Amazon that after long use, some ports do not work or the HDMI never really worked well. I was really looking forward to getting the ACASIS but cannot decide since there are complaints on Amazon about it? Your thoughts? Thank you

    • @PatrickRambles

      It should be on their website. My unit still works well but I've heard the complaints as well, so I can't guarantee anything.

    Great video. 2 questions for you:
    1. Does the iPad support keyboard shortcuts like “cut” and “paste”?
    2. Have you found a good app for editing on the iPad? iMovie only allows for a static zoom, and all the apps that I’ve tried for slowly zooming in and out seem to change the footage so the color grading is different from the rest of my footage. Right now I’m using windows 11, but want to upgrade and have been wondering if this is a viable option for video editing.

    • @PatrickRambles
      @PatrickRambles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best editing app by far is Luma Fusion. It's not free but it's worth its cost.

  • @murtadha96
    @murtadha96 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the video. I'd love to know more about the technical details.
    Sadly, as is the case with most (if not all) of these hubs, the problems lie in the chip being used. So, they can advertise all this functionality, but how reliable is it in the real world is another question. I've seen multiple hundred dollars hubs from reputable brands that are simply unreliable.
    Another problem is this: sure, it has all these ports. But how how many of them can you use simultaneously without running into issues or drop speed?

    • @PatrickRambles
      @PatrickRambles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. Can't wait to test it with the new MacBook and some displays.

    Thanks for video. Did I miss the read/write speed of this device to the added internal storage? A lot of interface devices advertise speed up to xxx, but in reality they don’t come close. Have you done read/write tests with all the external ports on the device?

    • @PatrickRambles
      @PatrickRambles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. I've only tested the device with the iPad Pro so far. Can't run speed tests on that. I'll be putting it through its paces, once my new MacBook arrives.

I am looking for a way to get 4K 120 Hz out of my12.9 M1 iPad Pro while being able to charge it, possibly one USB port or a usb c port would be preferable to have as well to charge other devices. What would you recommend? Something very portable if possible.
