A good ele can crank in keys. An average ele cannot. When you look at how strong a class is, you tend to compare it at 3 points. 1: the average player. 2: the point you play/perform at 3: the top. But even at the top and a good ele isn't beating a top end fire mage (for prio damage) or ret pally or DH (for aoe). even on the average level the same applies. but this is not to say ele is bad. There are just better options, which means ele is definitely more than playable. And you can definitely do 28's and 29's as an ele (depending on defensives and eternals in the group) which for literally 99.95% of the wow community is more than enough. There is half of the top 0.1% of players who are even looking at 30 +'s and even they could probably pull off an ele.
Issue with ele is a bit deeper and why highest lvl players won't run it in the super high keys. It's hard capped on just a few enemies. Really is that simple. It's good but if you're doing mass pulls, it is not, it's good for pugging because they have extremely good sustained aoe with fantastic prio dmg. But again, the target hard cap is just too small.
@@phugindomas i mean, outlaw is also target capped and they're still being taken. i don't think 8T target cap is as big of an issue as that. there is something else to it.
I push with one of the top ele shaman in the world and you could not be more wrong. It cranks especially in dungeons with intermittent 3-6 mob pulls. Great damage profile they’re just made of paper and bring no buffs

I bought a waterproof keyboard for this very reason. also dont keep a glass of water at your desk keep a bottle.

Ele doesn't crack anything lol. They depend on Ascend proc or they are shit, I'm 3.3k on ele and really suffer is the proc not there.
