Your video was timely! I have been running my plunge for approximately a week now and I have noticed the condensation on my plumbing components. Second, since my plumbing is outside of my tank, I believe it is also keeping my tank from holding a certain temp. (I use ice blocks 🙂) So I am off to HD for some insulation. Thanks again for the video!!
i insulated with spray foam only leaving the plumbing bulkheads bare. I have not seen any condensation, although the plunge is in my basement and it is not very humid there.
I live on the second floor in my condo association, and I have my cold plunge on my balcony, and then my neighbor is complaining of a wet spot on her ceiling right below my tub, what is the best way for me to stop this? Should I just place an anti-condensation mat underneath ones that are used for camping with that solve the problem?
I have an Ice Barrel at home and I started to notice condensation after a couple of hours. Is there anything you have seen in an application for this application and to avoid condensation and losing temperature quickly? Any DIY solutions?
I'm mid build with 100gallon stock tank. I've notice in your videos you have a floor in your mechanical area, which isn't listed in any of your plans or videos. I live in Wisconsin and plan to keep mine outside. If I add material for a floor in the mechanical area, do you suggest a drain hole for condensation during the summer? I already bought all of the other materials to insulated pipe and filter, but as you know we do get some warm months during the summer. So trying to prepare.
I have a floor/platform in all of mine. Implementing the drip tray is a good idea for condensation, you could experiment with draining without it though. Just be careful that you don't want the wood materials absorbing a ton of water.
Iv bought your plan for the 150 gallon stock tank, any tips on how to drain/ pull the tank out to clean it? I plan on getting the chiller for it, but nothing else for now. If I do all the foam insulation I won’t be able to just drain and pull it out to clean right? Probably a dumb question, but any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Glad it sparked some ideas!

Nice! A temperature controlled oven environment definitely helps

I'd try to get some sort of tray to collect it.
Good thoughts- thanks for the video!
thanks Ben!

Penguin Chillers has a sleeve that you can add to it, I dont know that it works incredibly well but it does help.
Looking to add the filter sleeve. Where are they available? Thank you

@@DIYColdPlunge what size sleeve? 500, 750, 1L?
@josh8704 according to the amazon page for this, and the measurements of the filter housing, the 1000ml size is correct.

How hot does your mechanic area get? I just fired up my chiller in a similar place and venting and I’m worried it’s too hot
Some have added exhaust fans for this, or increased the size of their vents
I found a metal roofing company that fabricated a custom drip tray for my mech area and under the tub itself (indoor plunge) $60
Nice!
Any tips on what to search for and where for drip trays that would fit?
Tamco has some ( a bit spendy but many sizes) www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?itemid=124984&catid=852
