U can place two small vessels one on the other at a time just like we do in normal pressure cooker. Place the dal vessel in the bottom. But dal will take more time to cook. For that u need to check water in the base and pour again. Alternately u can wash the dal and dry Roast and make a powder and cook with water. I never tried but i will also try and update you. Please check your cooker whether auto warm mode or auto switch off is working or not. For the first time please monitor water in the cooker body while cooking in this method. Whether the water poured in the aluminium vessel is sufficient for cooking the rice or not

Does this trick work for non skick vessel ?( i have non stick vessel)
I tried in non stick. Coating may get damaged in the long run after usage.dont use this for non stick vessel.
