Oh my god. You guys made something beautiful. Entranced from the first second til the last. This has immediately become one of my favourite vids. I mean, you used Les Friction, which earns immediate points from me, but you used it in such a majestic way. Nothing felt out of pace, and the world just...it slowed down around me. This needs approximately a million more views, and deserves more. Bravo.

autumn hobbit Yes, I torrent most of my footage too just because I can't afford to buy them all. But even my DVD copy of Avengers doesn't look this good, and I definitely couldn't find Ultron clips this crisp. But whatever the difference, it definitely made your video stand out to me!
TheSilentStorm Hmm. Which software do you use? Also, DVD rips are not actually HD. Blu-ray is real 1080 (I have some blu-rays, and it really does make a difference.) Depending on your software, (I use Sony Vegas 12,) you can render in the 1080 preset with your properties as 4K and it really helps the quality. If you look at some of my more recent vids, you'll see that there's a variety of quality in them.
autumn hobbit Ah, that would explain it. My copy of Avengers isn't Blu-Ray. I use Final Cut Pro X (Mac user, so no SV for me), and I'm pretty sure I've been rendering at 1080 but maybe I'll go check my settings next time I work on something. Although if my footage is never more than 720 I suppose rendering at higher quality wouldn't help much. :P
TheSilentStorm It really depends a lot on the footage, the quality, and colorings. I found a long while ago that using really over-sharpened colorings on low-quality footage reduces the quality. But a little sharpening can really enhance it. Even DVD can be acceptable with the right coloring. Theoretically, it's HD, but I find a lot of the quality varies.

Enjoyed the first minute, but the rest of the editing didn't fit that well to the epicness and flow of the song in my opinion... But it was better than what I've expected.
