So you truly believe that a federal minimum wage of $7.25 does not need to be raised because different states have different costs? It’s an absurd argument. I'm not smart enough to come up with a more advanced version of this but some businesses will definitely just take advantage of that. $12 minimum wage would work perfectly in my state like Ohio. as european driving in a city is horrible. its stressfull, its rly slow and then you have to find parking spot, which is impossible usually. it might take long time and u might need to take public transport to the place u parked. and then its on the back of ur mind during the day. when others move around the city freely and make plans u have mental pin where ur car is parked and u are recalculating how long does it going to take to retrieve it and where are you going to park it next. its just that tram can take 50 people. thats 50 cars of the street. 50 tuns and 200 square meters if the cars are stationary. no amount of self driving or economical motors are gonna remedy that. not having a public transport is like not having a sewage system and if the situation in america is rly this bad making one would be the most profitable thing you can do.
Destiny doing the car vs healthcare felt like he was going at it in bad faith. You don’t need a car survive in America, there’s public transport but a car makes it way more convenient. Destiny complaining about his audience being out of touch, then talking about how it'd be insane and impossible for people to do a 40+minute public transport commute lmao
I'm someone who regularly takes the bus in my American city and just happen to live near a bus stop for busses that actually come semi frequently. Even for me, taking the bus is only BARELY worth it compared to paying for parking near my job (job is downtown and requires paid parking), and paying to maintain my car with gas and repairs on top. It takes me bare minimum 20 minutes to get to my job, meaning its a minimum 40 minute commute for what would be a 20 minute daily commute time with a car. At very worst it could be more than an hour spent walking to the bus stop, waiting 20 minutes for a bus if I'm unlucky that day, doing a 15 minute commute, and then walking from the bus stop to my job. Now imagine I live literally anywhere else in town, and it goes from the bus being slightly more convenient to basically impossible. If I still lived at my parents who live in the suburbs, It goes from a max of like 45 minutes to get to work to like almost 2 hours if you're really unlucky. Suburban busses in most cities only come every hour and if the time it is supposed to show up is inconvenient (or God forbid the bus comes slightly sooner than its supposed to) you're SOL for an entire HOUR. You're understating how inconvenient and time consuming taking public transit in the US is. The reason basically only poor people take the bus is because its the only economic option, but it eats into HOURS of your life when you add it up. This is not to mention that most public transits only serve to get people to and from a central location. Not everyone works in a downtown, meaning your hour long single bus ride turns into a several hour affair if you have to transit between different bus stops.

The real difference between car insurance and health care is that the „worst case“ scenario for health care is you bankrupt yourself and then die while the worst case for driving a car is *someone else* goes bankrupt and then dies. This is why liability insurance (and only that) is actually *required*.
The car conversation was brutal. It's wild how people lack even basic understanding of relativity or hypotheticals, let alone empathy. Take away a car from a midwesterner vs someone who lives in California... Compare the transit of Seattle to the transit of even Chicago. Walk to work in Colorado versus Florida in December... I have no doubt that the people belittling the necessity of having a vehicle are too young, live in a big city, have a job that doesn't require going anywhere, or just mooch off of others for rides and see no problem with it.

@rebelmango2141 Bar I/P issue both Hasan and Destiny agree on a lot of things. I doubt they will be a different opinion from Hasan if he wanted this Asmongold video.
Destiny: "I think having a car is more important to average americans than healthcare." I'm not sure about that. (Taking it as all medicinal advances that have been made would dissapear tomorow) Is healthcare would dissapear tomorrow, it means high death rates from childbirth (mother and child), high death rates from common infancy diseases that are eradicated/controlled by modern medicine, high death rates from small injuries. Food deficiencies diseases would make a come back. While not having a car would be a really disruptive thing, you could switch it up for bikes by tripling the time and/or find a new job closer to home. It would be really disruptive in the short term, but people would ajust while the removal of healthcare would be deadly in the long term.
The question wasn't "zero medicine" vs "no cars", it was "do most Americans need a car more than services only accessible to them through health insurance."
@@shogunofgrowing4839 If only there was some way for hospitals to bring patients to them, so they wouldn't have to bike themselves there. Some sort of wagon or something, I don't know, maybe it could have bright lights and loud noises so that people move out of the way for it, because it's an emergency. Preferably cheap, and not life screwingly expensive.
33:09 Even in the U.S. most people can either pay for a ride share to work, bike to work, take public transit to work, get a ride from a coworker to work, have the priviledge to work from home, live close to work, etc. We just have cars because it's super inconvenient not to have one. In terms of how many people need a hospital before the age of 50, my honest guess is that most people would be dead or have serious complications by 50. Imagine breaking a limb, getting diabetes, appendix ruptures, bacterial infections and all the horrible shit people without access to a hospital deal with. There's a good reason the life expectancy not that long ago was way lower compared to what it is now.
2:20 Only issue here is Asmongold yeld at his audience about the "trans" boxer and said "ofcourse there's a difference between sex and gender" so he's pro trans and his chat went really mad. First time watching him live again after a while and I was shocked.
Btw it was the same stream he did when he ranted about Tyler 1's girlfriend being transphobic and he went against her. Gotta give him props as he's more open to that than me.
One major challenge that impacts nearly every American daily is the country's heavy reliance on cars, coupled with high fuel costs, insurance premiums, and the need for phone and internet services. These expenses have become almost unavoidable for survival, from securing and commuting to a job to staying connected. For example, when I lived in a country with efficient public transportation, I was able to earn less but save significantly more because my monthly expenses were much lower. On top of that, the rising cost of internet in the U.S. is becoming truly outrageous. Edit: in the US military we also had a medical standard of 3 days before getting seen unless it is detrimental to life, limbs, or eye sight. Essentially everything will clear on its own in 3 days. That being said when I got out if someone sneezed they would visit the hospital which was wild to me. adding onto the first part the military was also amazing due to the base having essentially everything you needed state side or over seas where you didn't need a car and could always rely on you lambor-feeties
Note about canadian healthcare: many provinces make it intentionally difficult to use private insurance by using an all-or-nothing policy where a doctor needs to take government payment OR private payment. This essentially shakes out in a way that doctors don't take private payment. Realistically if you wanted a private option you'd be better off driving to the USA
Sometimes Destiny's fanbase reveals their youth and privilege. It would blow some of their minds that it was pretty common for working class people to not have health insurance before the ACA. I didn't have health insurance from 22-32 and I couldn't really care less at the time compared to the need for a car. I broke my hand during the time span and had to go to the emergency room. That's how people survived sickness or injury. They just bill you and most just never pay it because they can't afford to. As for the public transportation argument, Destiny is mostly right. Most cities don't have adequate public transportation however I live in the Northeast and people do commute on buses from the suburbs. The system here to get people from the suburbs to the city is pretty good overall. I have never been to a city outside of the Northeast that is even close to the level of service here though. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chicago area is similar but I just don't know anough about the area.
If you live in nyc or Boston you live in unique miracles of cities for the US in terms of public transport (and the majority of other metrics lol). Chicago is worse, it still ok. LA is abysmal. All the smaller cities are even worse, except those close to nyc/boston.
Agree. I was raised and lived the first 39 years of my life in NYC. I did not own a car. If anything, most New Yorkers living within the 5 boroughs considered it an expensive appliance. When I moved to Los Angeles to work, I lived for 4 years without a car. I bussed, biked and carpooled to work assignments. When I finally could afford it, I bought a used car. If your nature is to be a problem solver, have thought plasticity, you can find solutions for your situation. Problem is Americans in general drank the Kool Aid and believe you just can't survive that way in a car dominated culture. Destiny's thoughts are sometimes skewed due to Wheat Belt Blindness and being on the spectrum. Hopefully more Americans will find other solutions for their life situation and we can steer away from this destructive car culture.
Pretty much every single city has "adequate" public transportation to get by. It's crap public transportation but it still _works;_ tons of people still use them to get around. Taking an extra hour to get somewhere does not make a system unusable. For that matter the system would be better if more people chose to use it more often instead of never supporting it due to using personal vehicles. For healthy people of working age public transport isn't even the only option. They can use ride hail services and/or use a bicycle or even a powered small vehicle such as a scooter/e-bike. Some people might argue that they live to far away from where they work, but that was their own stupid choice, and it was not necessary; different work is an option, as-is different place to live. It won't necessarily be as-good a life, but even if cars were required for long distance travel (which they are not), one wouldn't be dying or suffering by choosing a crappier closer place to live or a crappier closer place to work. Without good health care people _can_ suffer and die; or get treated but then suffer significantly in life due to the crippling debt.
@@MsHojatsource on every single city having "adequate" transportation?? How do I take a crappier job when I need a certain amount of money to keep my house?
Most people are healthy but you'll need healthcare at some point in your life. People get sick and accidents happen. If you were born or gave birth in a hospital, vaccinated, wear prescription glasses or had any dental work done you're participating in our healthcare system. This stuff isn't hard, it should be there if and when you need it.
Serious question here. I really want to support universal healthcare. I'm not trying to start a debate. I really want to know how you reconcile poor health and treatments for people who are self destructive and refuse to put any effort into improving their health? There is something unethical or immoral about others having to pay for that person's poor decisions. Meanwhile, others watch their diet, exercise regularly, etc. They tend to live long healthy lives. Yet, they are on the hook to pay for irresponsible people. However, I completely agree that the current healthcare system is a complete price gouge and shakedown of regular Americans. Seems like we need to figure out a balance between these two extremes.
@QualityQman it's immoral and unethical NOT to treat people that are sick. We don't leave people who self harm bleeding in the bathtub, we do our best to help them. 😐

What is destiny smoking on this car transportation shit? I've had 2 jobs and 6 locations I've had to go to berween to both of them. For my first job it was about 45 mins to and from, but the 2nd job and 5 locations I've had to go to I'm able to get to work consistently and home in a timely manner with public transportation. Does destiny know how many people take public transportation to work? I'm aware many people drive even low income people, but many MANY people take PT
He's completely out of touch. Yes North America's car-focused design and car culture is trash, and yes many cities (probably not even most cities) do have bad public transit systems, but all the bad public transit systems are all still fully functional systems that tons of people live and breathe by. It's literally a skewed view of reality by going off of what he hears, how bad he hears things are for people without automobiles. I'm surprised that he doesn't know anyone without an automobile who lives in a city with poor public transit.
@@jigbuuls2322 Nobody gave a specific number. 30% _IS_ "many MANY" people. What is your point? 30% taking public transport is proof that people can rely on it. The vast majority of people could rely on it if they had to, they just have the money and selfishness to want to save time by using a personal automobile instead. This sort of thing does result in a tragedy of the commons though. There is some type of work that simply requires an automobile, but nobody -NOBODY- is forced to do that work. There are many people who also live very far away from their work. And very few or none of them were actually forced to live at that far away location and work far away. They could have chose to live closer to work or work closer to home. People don't do that because they have their automobile already, and they have and use their car because they don't care enough about the commons.
@@MsHojat He just literally showed the statistics. What are you on about? Also I used to use public transport before I got my car at 33 years old. Public transport was literally when I had no other options. It is not an option I would ever point to otherwise. That isnt a glowing recommendation. Destiny is 100% right.
37:00 As someone who lost their license for a while, using a bus/train to get to and from work increased my commute time from 2 hours total to 5 hours total. I had to take a train for part of the ride, but the train doesn't actually go to the city I worked in, so I had to take a bus from the train station the rest of the way. It is not a reliable form of transportation for most of the country. Luckily I work from home now.

You seem to be confusing "needing to drive to live" with needing car insurance. Which is where you've gone completely wrong on your take.
You don't need car insurance in order to drive. Just like you don't need health insurance in order to live. But out of those two things, one type of insurance will be required at least at one point in every human being's life (unless they're fine with just dropping dead from totally preventable diseases/accidents/etc.), whereas not everyone who lives, has ever lived, or will live will be in a car accident that requires auto insurance.
I'm sorry but you're just 100% wrong on this. Extremely bad argument, I expect better out of you

So you truly believe that a federal minimum wage of $7.25 does not need to be raised because different states have different costs? It’s an absurd argument.
Working full time at $7.25 = homelessness in every single US state if you can’t find roommates.
Working full time at $8 = homelessness in every single US state if you can’t find roommates.
Working full time at $9 = homelessness in every single US state if you can’t find roommates.

I could repeat this about 10 more times but you get the point. OBVIOUSLY easing the federal minimum wage helps tens of millions of people have better lives. Arguing against this is so shortsighted and privileged.
I'm not smart enough to come up with a more advanced version of this but some businesses will definitely just take advantage of that. $12 minimum wage would work perfectly in my state like Ohio. But there's no damn we that'd work in states like New York or California. My 4 bedroom house, with 3 car garage in the country is 800 a month per rent. Most people in this country would never even believe that
Raising healthcare will match cost of living. Minimum wage doesn’t mean we pay them 50k a month. It’s still based on supply n demand of that job.
This doesn't exist in a vacuum. Prices for everything would inflate in response to that increase and guess who isn't seeing an increase in wages... literally every other job that isn't being paid the bare minimum for the bare minimum... address the actually problem which is inflation rather than printing more money and slapping a temporary bandaid on it. Which this would be.
@ you can’t make the ppl who benefit from inflation stop inflating their products. Unless you want the government to tell businesses how much money they can make.
@@jhova6542 I don't know what your talking about, I don't think any american benefits from inflation... inflation just means your dollar is worth less than it previously was, that goes for everyone. the business would inflate it's products in order to continue to afford paying thousands of employees that increased wage and again that's just the guys on the bottom rung. you also need to be able to continue paying everyone else and ofcourse this would have a slow but staggering ripple effect throughout the country. eventually the minimum wage guys ends up back to square one after a couple of years and the higher paid guys in our country end up worse off in general

Not liking trump is literally common sense. Like, unless you really love being conned by a genuine idiot. There is next to no justification other than misplaced anger, fear and plain old ignorance.

It is relative I live in NY and have family in Georgia in NY cars are useful but a luxury but in Georgia its a lifeline still D-man is being too dismissive of how necessary even basic medical care and insurance is for modern society otherwise he wouldn't rage about antivaxxers
Having a car is important for QoL to the vast majority of people in the US. However, access to quality healthcare is an actual matter of life and death for most people at some point in their lives. The issues are not comparable and make for a pointless argument.
True, American cities are atrociously designed. You don’t have so much car usage due to differences in individual preferences, except those that are directly caused by environmental factors. The necessity to own cars in American cities (ALL American cities besides nyc pathetically have

While not having a car would be a really disruptive thing, you could switch it up for bikes by tripling the time and/or find a new job closer to home. It would be really disruptive in the short term, but people would ajust while the removal of healthcare would be deadly in the long term.

In terms of how many people need a hospital before the age of 50, my honest guess is that most people would be dead or have serious complications by 50. Imagine breaking a limb, getting diabetes, appendix ruptures, bacterial infections and all the horrible shit people without access to a hospital deal with. Healthcare over car lol no car, walk, subway, buses, bike , Uber, car pool, lfyt, cab, work from home, electric scooters, car service. Silly take
One major challenge that impacts nearly every American daily is the country's heavy reliance on cars, coupled with high fuel costs, insurance premiums, and the need for phone and internet services.
The classic "it's all a meme" meme. 👌🏽

@@Cettywise Should we force people to eat properly and exercise then? You're not really addressing the core of my conundrum.
@QualityQman bro, think whatever you want. I don't have all the answers 😘
@Cettywise no problem. Thank you for your input regardless. One love.
Big Asmon fan here; guys he's just an average dude putting on a good show. He's not a political streamer so if you judge him like one than you will be disappointed. And he relates a lot more to your average non-terminally online dude which is one of the reasons he's so popular
1hr in and my mom is gay? You've fell off
So you're telling me I made the right decision by not watching his reaction and offing myself afterwards because of the imbecility of it all.
Correct title: "destiny gets triggered by asmongold watching trump interview"
I mean normal people come to these videos to see what are the objectively false opionions of destinys. And to laugh at her fans defending it.
@@attilamarics3374 what was the biggest thing he said that was wrong
@@rhinoman86 bc he’s dumb and achually stupid and not smart 😡
Id hate to accuse asmon of being audience captured but he is too intelligent for there to be an alternative explanation for this.
I'm pro healthcare for everyone, I care about the environment, and public health safety. So what I'm gonna do is vote for the most anti healthcare, anti environment, anti public health safety candidate of all time :)
41:38 PE for me and everyone I have ever known was some form working out. Destiny experience is something I have never heard of.
Yeah this was my experience too. I don't know what destiny's talking about I'm pretty sure everybody's PE in high school was some form of actual physical activity
Why are you guys doing the same thing Jesus why is this such a hard thing for ppl to understand that THEIR experience is not everyone's or even the norm. This mentality is what causes 99% of the dumb takes in politics right now
What is destiny smoking on this car transportation shit? I've had 2 jobs and 6 locations I've had to go to berween to both of them. For my first job it was about 45 mins to and from, but the 2nd job and 5 locations I've had to go to I'm able to get to work consistently and home in a timely manner with public transportation.
Does destiny know how many people take public transportation to work? I'm aware many people drive even low income people, but many MANY people take PT
It's really not that many people that take public transport. You can look it up about 70% of Americans use a car to commute.
Ive tried to do the same before, with one job, and public transport took me 4 hours round trip. It doesnt work for everyone.
@@jigbuuls2322
Nobody gave a specific number.
I'm here in the comments again begging you for timestamps - I can't get through 2 hours
1:01:00 Woman gets arrested for threats to a CEO, but a woman goes to the cops about a stalker and _There's nothing we can do._ f*cking bullshit
Should live closer to work goof 😂
@@billyyank5807 you know that's not an option for most people right?
@thelightwielderwell yeah, no population level differences are do to aggregate of individuals just happening to pick the “wrong” lifestyle choice. People trying to out this on the contingent of “lazy” people is idiotic as such explanations literally never explain differences at such scale.
Destiny and his groupies are so debate brained they take react content slop seriously it's so weird. Go watch Asmons newest drone video to get an idea of what kind of person you're taking seriously.
It's not weird, because it is a serious issue. The whole problem is that reaction slop youtubers have more political influence than actual trustworthy sources. Should you not address dumb arguments even when everyone believes them?
@-47- You are arguing with yourselves. Nobody who likes Asmon is going to watch Destiny "uhm ackhtually" everything and have their mind changed. I have started watching Destiny less since he started trying to own Asmon cause it's embarrassing.
@@tonytagliatelle9225 That's not an argument against responding to Asmon, just an argument against reaction videos. You really think Asmon's fans wouldn't watch a debate between the two?
@-47- Destiny will probably treat it as bad faith as he does these reactions. Hes attacking and debating Asmon who's not even trying to debate and whenever Asmon makes a point he agrees with he glances over it but when he disagrees he's shrieking, putting his arms on his head and calling him a moron. It's so funny.
@-47- Destiny also assumes the worst every time, he attacks Asmons react content under the assumption Asmon is functionally regarded and inserts the worst reasoning for Asmons opinions despite Asmon not giving one.
I like asmon gold but I don’t like destiny.
