Same here. I tried putting the barrel in the freezer, heated the receiver and oiled it up. Slammed the hell out of it. In maybe 20*/* now, won't budge at all.

Torque V screws before checking the action lining up?

Will this work for a takedown rifle? Or are you making one?

It will not. You have to buy a dedicated takedown barrel for a ruger 10-22 takedown. The V-block is only for standard Ruger setups where the barrel is affixed to the upper reciever.
