Or perhaps he has always trained himself to hide his accent, but as fear overtakes him, he loses his well practiced cadence. Drag Me to Hell played with this as well. Farm girl trained to fit in in the big city, begins to regress as the her fate closes in.
Interesting how this scene does a pretty good job of making you sympathize, or at least pity Pedro despite not really deserving it. He might not nearly be as bad as Curtis, but not only was he the one who orchestrated Dan's original death, but like Curtis himself said, he's probably killed just as many children that Curtis has. If nothing else, you definitely feel bad for his family, since Curtis used their horrific deaths to make Pedro suffer as much as possible before killing him.
Wow,verbally torments him, raped his wife, killed his son, threw his daughter's servered head right in front of him, then killed him. I have never seen a cutscene in a videogame so brutal before.
I actually almost got this game when I was 9-10ish after seeing it in Game Informer. Mom looks at the ESRB thing and says no, so I just went to a friends house who had it and watched them play it. So, in my case, my first time seeing it was in a magazine. (And yes, I did buy the remastered version of the game, loved every second of it.)
Because back then SJWs didn't exist and journalists only care about popular video games. People who like to complain about these things do not play these kind of games.
Because it's not a well-known game, basically. If it were more well known perhaps it would have been. The same can be said of films like "Salò" or books like "Crash". They're not necessarily hugely well known so they're not hugely controversial, despite their alarming content.

No, they're literal gods. They do represent western and eastern cultures, yes, but that doesn't mean they're ruled out from being gods. The eternal game that is their chessboard basically allowed them to construct pawns by using their creative and destructive powers. Harman opted to form two other avatars of his power (one of which rebelled, the other wasn't lucky) in order to combat Kun Lan's plans.
Also, the Yakumo isn't what created Japan in the first place. Remember how it's just a "document" that was stated what Japan was going to do in regards to its foreign policies? This was created to liven up the game played between the two gods, to turn things into Kun Lan's favor.
Indeed ,Censorship is a bitch even the censored japanese version of this game manage to still cut showing the head but still displaying this scene in a disturbing way
Blackburn is ruthless. I like how he waits for a while to let Pedro reflect and react to his wifes severed head before blowing his brains out. Pity this song ain't on the official OST

@Cuddlebunzzzz There is a part after you kill Curtis that Dan Smith actually sees the bodies of the dead children hanging inside Curtis house but I agree with you, there are more disturbing things in this game than this scene. Overall you should try it its a great game not much in the gameplay aspect but the story and atmosphere is crazy. There is nothing quite like this game its very unique.
SPOILER ALERT DON'T READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME: Harman and Kun Lan are both gods. They both adore chess, and often times they're seen playing it. That chess game, in reality, is them manipulating real life people through the movement of pawns. Kun Lan won the game before Killer 7, which kickstarted the Heaven smile movement. Garcian, or rather, Emir, never had FREE will. He was ALWAYS a pawn in EVERYTHING. He was a trained assassin from childhood and he was influenced
but he killed killer 7 and harman at union hotel. wasn't that his free will? (BTW i didn't understand the story quite well can you tell me why he did this?)
or "nudged" by kun lan into killing his mom. Harman tried to upset the balance with the use of his tokens on earth: master harman and principal harman. Both didn't work, both were dispatched. At the end, Emir is seen with green eyes because he accepted kun lan. Emir can only go on one straight path and never falter on any other...like a pawn on a chess board.
Did anyone else notice that there are no sights on Curtis' pistols? Well maybe there are, but not when he goes through the building shooting people with the single gun. They don't make pistols without sights, so he must have taken them off. But why would anyone ever do that?

@Dhumanio I know that this is a response to a 3 month old question, but I'd say that the rating system is more of a generalized guideline, not a strict cutoff point. If you can handle a game (or movie, show, etc.) at your current age, then there's really no reason not to go ahead and play/watch it. Also, if you do wind up playing it, keep in mind that Killer7 is less of a game to be 'played' as much as it is something to be analyzed and critiqued.
