Just watched this one. I need to make it here! This is my kind of trail!!! I punched a tree and rock on Mandalorian with my pinky. 8 months later it's still stiff.
This must be the hidden version? I went there today and only found the main road from the bottom all the way up with the crazy rock sections most of the way at the end. This trail looks way more fun for downhill.
I did the "up and back" ride yesterday. Amazing but next time I want to do the trails in this video. How can we access??? Where's the starting point? Where does the single track break off from the main road?
Haha first off good job! Second I’ve got this question many times... it’s not easy to explain in txt, many people have gotten lost. But if you want a private tour perhaps send me an email 📧 & I may be able to set you up on a guided ride that way your not in over your head or on your own in a place you’ve never been to.. the GoPro effect is real out there & I can speak to anyone’s skill levels unless I am with them in person. Hope you had a great ride out there still 👍🏼
MrJibmstr thank you!! I feel the same! Really can’t wait to get out and ride all the perfect dirt again soon, hoping it’s not going to be too too long 🙏🏼
Yes indeed this place had lots of volcanic rock & is one of the older wagon wheel roads, so I can only imagine how difficult it must have been for early settlers let alone for mtbs! The Mega begs for this stuff tho! Love a good challenge which this place delivers, but I now know the hard way that I need to cut down my 800mm bars! These kind of tight trails make it easy to catch a bar end which is what happened to me and It could have been a lot worse! Gotta heal up my pinky and hopefully I’ll be riding again on the good dirt soon 👍🏼
Travel the Narrow Trail Normally my bar width is 780.. all my other bikes have been. I wanted to see how it was trying out the 800's, but now I know for sure that 780 is going to remain my Max comfortable bar width 👌🏼😎
Jorge Moran Thanks! Yea these trails are super different then just the main road, they work hard to keep them nice! You’ll love the Mega forsure if that’s what you end up getting! Mines braking in well so far! Just watch that rear dropout chain-stay adjustment piece.. it can work its way loose so check it every few rides or so just to be double sure it’s good!

@@bike_somm I usually go with 780 now, I find it a sweet spot for me.

Went there today, pretty much burnt to a crisp but the dirt was awesome.

Is this trail a loop or do you have to climb twice?
Michael M yes we climbed about 2700ft this day.. it’s a good amount of climbing for only 7-10 miles
Dewd! That rock merc’d your hand! Serious ouch.
