The first couple of XTRA XG videos are a bit repetitive when they don’t have too much going on. Once you get to episode 8+, they start to get really good (lines up with Cocona going viral for Tape 2 and using that momentum to get their first big hit in Shooting Star).
@TofiToast Yeah I got the feeling! I tried to look ahead so I could figure out how I wanted to group them lol but these were still super cute and enjoyable for me! It's like the first taste of seeing them be themselves together🥺 I'm really looking forward to the episodes you mentioned though🫶🏻
Birthday celebrations are a fixture for any idol behind the scenes, as they usually make for primo content. However I get the impression that Simon early on made the girls' birthday much more important event, a kind of emotional anchoring ritual for the members which allows them to solidify their bond and hold on to some kind of normalcy in this crazy world of the music industry as these 7 dates become fixed moments in time when the members know they will be able to share their love with each other on a recurring basis. As for Three Meals a Day, I don't remember if I mentioned it before, but the episodes were timed to come out at the same time as the documentary. So every week we would cry with the girls watching the documentary, then go have fun with them on 3 Meals, making the whole experience emotionally balanced.
@RudeMekanicals I can see your prespective that Simon would have wanted to keep the strong foundation they had built in their relationships with each other. Keeping that strong family bond would help then navigate the trials and turbulations of idol life. I think that really showed when one of the girls told Jurin "thank you for being born"😭 Wow I didn't know they aired at the same time! I really made it hard on myself watching them separately😂 but still worth it!

Tysm Izzy. 🫰🏼❤️ The start of their XTRA XG is kinda slow burn ngl but it's a fun way to know them - also topping it off with the short vids from the ALPHAZ app with these episodes is such a cool introduction to their personalities. 😊 (also they self promoted TIPPY TOES and when they made a comeback for MASCARA, they promoted TT as well - at least once or twice of I remember correctly)
