Man I just ordered this 2 days ago for my gen 5 19 I can’t wait to get it and feel the difference, im use to shooting the stock but I can imagine this makes a huge difference when shooting. Especially the 13 pound spring, I want to buy the comp next but they told me a week ago that in 5 to 6 months they might have them in stock. Awesome video dude! super easy to adjust the spring weights, now I know how to swap the springs when I get it 😊 thanks.
@sensay8374 the ramjet/afterburner combo doesn't come with the compressor spring kit. Two separate items that cost more than the glock altogether 😂 I know because I'm a sucker that did it. Trust me, don't get any of this. Keep the gun stock. Biggest waste of money for all the troubleshooting with springs and ammo. 115 grain ammo creates so many fail to feeds. Get a parker mountain or stay stock.
how do yall keep all your little extra parts for all your guns? i have a bunch of parts everywhere and would love to find a way to organize and keep them all in one place.
I have a Gen 3 and had trouble with the shells failing to extract and found your video. I left the fat O-ring that came with it and didn't know I had to change it. Hopeully this will fix my issue otherwise I'm gonna be pissed
Ive been having issues with my set up, i have a g19 gen 5 with x300u and aimpoint acro, using stock spring and swapping to the red 15lb spring. I have failure to feed issues every now and then, and then the slide fails to lock at times. Any suggestions? Thinking of getting a lighter red dot, maybe that will alleviate my issues…
@@sergiodelgado7768 what kind of ammo? I know guys who run that exact setup with no issues. Try lubing points that are making contact so they can start to smooth out
@ i usually shoot 115 grain, Winchester or blazer i believe. I may go to the shooting range tomorrow, so ill put some gun oil on the feeding ramp, hopefully that helps
Do I need to buy this if I’m getting the ramjet afterburner? Or is it an either or type deal meaning if I get one I don’t need the other? I was going to buy both and install them on my Glock 45 but if it isn’t going to work then I’ll just get the ramjet afterburner by itself.
I have the Ramjet kit on my ZEV OZ9C and installed the compression kit. Aside from being tool less it wasn’t anything special probably because I already had a SS guide rod. I switched to a tungsten guide rod with a 13 lb spring and its money. Would probably make a bigger difference in a stock Glock.
Tool less capture is definitely the special part of this guide rod system. But yes anything is better than stock, if you have an aftermarket guide rod and all you’re doing is looking for a guide rod, this won’t be any different than the aftermarket one you hsvr
@@manzanotactical appreciate it and when I tried the 13lb one the slide wouldn’t reset back when dry firing i had to push it forward for it to sit properly any suggestions?
Thank You! Oh and one more question. I was trying to slide the silver washer to the guide rod because im using a gen 3 it wont slide down easily just like in your video. Mine wont even come down. Should i force it to go down??
@@manzanotactical yea, the washer won’t fit over either side. Does it take any force to get it on or should it just slide over easily? Seems they sent wrong size potentially
Finally took mines to the range on my G19mos and had to rezero my dot which I haven't done in two years.... then had constant FTF and FTE where I had 2 use all my strength to rack it back... I have an 18lbs pure tungsten guide rod and holosun on it and tbh before installing the afterburner and ramjet I never had and issues with my glock and that's about 8k rounds in. Disappointed I have 2 get another spring or completely get rid of the whole setup
I have also had this problem. Same gun you have but mine was brand new. Im wondering if it just needs to be broken in. I have also had better luck keeping my glock very well oiled and using 124gr fmjs with the red (15lb) spring. Still, i am disappointed in the rj+ab due to these issues-i want something reliable that will shoot any ammo i throw at it-which I can get every time by switching back to Glock stock parts.
@mediamonk100 after 300 rounds it got broken n with the 18lbs spring.. almost 4k rounds later with no issues. I was pissed at 1st but its been good every since my initial bad experience

No issues with about 3700 FMJ and like 300 to 350 JHP thru it since the initial issues.
@mediamonk100 I only used 115 grain by accident but I ran 200 rounds of that no issue also. My initial impression was bad but the last cpl months I have nothing but good things to say about it

The acro is heavier than say an RMR or 507c when you add mass to the slide you need to reduce spring weight to compensate

Does the afterburner/ramjet still work well with a stock glock spring?
Yes. Depending on ammo, but I don’t recommend it. As you mess with the gases you need to mess with the springs.
