Loved that the presenters didn't barrage her with lots of questions and just let her talk freely, which she can quite clearly do. Good interview, wonderful woman!
They never mentioned Debra played Daphne 'Daffy' Graham as well as a nurse and Officer Sally Dean in Prisoner. Plus her rival for Pippa# 2 was Jackie Woodburne who she co starred with in Prisoner and Neighbours.
love Debra in home and away what a lady all the best for the future never miss home and away been watching from the beginning I be 35 in to weeks god I feel old saying that 😀
I love how when they show footage of Debra Lawrance on H&A, they show Josephine Mitchell (who was famous for playing Jo Loveday on “A Country Practice”). Josephine would have only been in a very few amount of episodes with Debra. Josephine only ever played a very minor character - a cop who dated Craig McLachlan’s character. She would have not been on the show for long at all. Maybe they show it as it was one of Debra Lawrance’s first episodes. I started watching Home and Away when it first aired (in 1988). Although I did always love Vanessa Downing (the first Pippa), Debra will always be the true Pippa to me. I stopped watching Home and Away more than a decade or two ago though (shortly after Ailsa died). Debra (Pippa) was gone by then though. Home and Away is like a totally different show now (from what little I have seen over the years).
How is it they never mentioned one of her more famous roles of playing Daphne "Daffy" Graham in Prisoner. She was obsessed with plants and suffered from PMT.
When she talks about the other people who she co starred with in Home and Away who are still there now she only mentions three of them incuding Ray Meahger (Alf), Ada Nicodemou (Leah) and Lynne McGranger (Irene) are still there and she forgets to mention that another one of her co - stars Emily Symons (Marilyn) is still in the programme too. And also she actually left the show in 1998, two years before Ada Nicodemou (Leah) joined the show in 2000 so how does she remember Ada? Also when she says that she sees tattooed boys in the show does she mean the river boys?
Debra returned a few times in the noughties, and on those occasions tended to interact with the other characters mostly in the diner, run by Ada's character Leah, so Debra would have met and remembered Ada, if only a little bit. Debra's last return was in 2009, and Emily only came back in 2010 (when she abruptedly left UK soap Emmerdale and returned to Australia to be her ailing nan's carer) so it could well be that Debra wasn't aware that Emily was a full time cast member in it these days.
@@MrDannyDetail thanks for explaining MrDannyDetail. Watching this interview with Debra I thought it was odd that she (Debra) remembered Ada when Ada joined the show as Leah after she (Debra) left. Emmerdale is usually full of Yorkshire accents (although other English accents and dialects have featured on that show over the years) and to me at first it was odd hearing an Australian actress talking to Yorkshire actors / actress and yet being able to understand what they were saying. I'm surprised Emily's Emmerdale co - stars could understand her and she could understand them.
A bit late, but they were referring to her career as a whole rather than her role as Pippa. She also starred in Prisoner Cell Block H in the early 80s.
Great down to earth lady
Loved her in Home And Away in the 90s love from England 🏴🎉
Pippa was the heart and soul of that show and the Mum we all wanted.
It really was the end of an era when she left.
Loved that the presenters didn't barrage her with lots of questions and just let her talk freely, which she can quite clearly do. Good interview, wonderful woman!
Debra Lawrence was my favourite Pippa.😊
I remember the first Actress who played her vaguely. X

Really charming and funny lady! She was great as Pippa in H&A.
Bring her back
Lovely to see her
The fist clip is from Home and Away. Yet the commentary states The Sullivans.
She was on Prisoner Cell Block H too lol.

Home and Away went down the pan back in 2007 it needs a good kick up the backside
It became shit when it stopped being about fostering
No mention of #PRISONER then :'(
they forgot prisoner

Nah, I think she was more famous in H&A.
Yes it is hard work.

I got used to her in the end
Being Emmerdale in forgot she was in Home And Away after a while good actress 🎉❤
is that Pippa from Home and Away?
No, it's Helen Daniels from Neighbours.
Is that comment to me?
she was the new Pipa, after the former actress was replaced.
satchfan2010 yes is pipa from home and away
And for someone to be a smart arse and say it was Helen Daniels from neighbours is ridiculous
Did Debra Lawence play the school principal in click bait
This is wrong! The woman said “she has been on our screens since the early 80’s” HOWEVER! The show started in 1988 so that is not the “early 80’s”.😂😁

And she was great in Prisoner too. Surprised they didn't mention it. X
thats the 2nd pippa
ouch
Vanessa Downing was much better as Pippa.
