@@DUDLEY2000Of course we should pray and hope so, but it’s dangerous to believe that someone who recently passed away is in Heaven already - since we aren’t certain, we need to still pray for them in case they are still suffering in purgatory. Even though it’s nicer to think they’re perfectly happy already, they may still need our prayers - so we should love them through praying and making sacrifices for them!

I think God might be Calling me to this Order. It's going to take time to discern but please pray for my Vocation. I know in my heart this is where I belong but my Director said I need to wait a few years before properly discerning because I am a recent Convert long story lol. Please pray God guides my every step

Marie-Bernadette Benedict I am a convert as well. I think God has been calling me for 17 years, before I became Catholic. Most Orders won't take a new convert because they want you to grow in your Faith, pray and really learn your faith, and be committed. Most orders also want you to wait at least 2-3 years. But, it makes it that much more beautiful and grateful, if this is what God is calling you too. I am still unsure, but you should never stop praying and discerning. So in your time of patiently waiting, you just serve Jesus and go where the doors are open. I will be praying for you and that God clearly opens the door for you. Also in the meantime, you could look into joining a 3rd Order, laity and just immerse yourself in relationships with Nuns and laity and even great Catholic mothers in the church. Then, when the time comes you can visit the orders you are interested in. check out religiousministries.com to help with some of that as well. I believe it is essential for all of us to be acquainted with the history of our Catholic/Orthodox religion understanding the old and new ways of its development. But what Christ most wants from each of us faithful, I believe with all my heart, is to persevere in our Christian faith, viz. a life of prayer and penance and caring others as much as we can within our means. We are like the servants in the parable of the 3 servants. (Mat 25:14-30) We have to believe the Holy Ghost will guide those appointed to lead, be it in the Vatican or Eastern Orthodox Churches, to care for the needs of the whole "living stones" where ever they are not only in Europe and America but in in far flung places like Indonesia where I am from.

The sisters I discerned with, left Perth and went to the Philippines. But I know a friar who is still with them in California! I can ask him what's happening, if you'd like.

Please people open your bibles. Ask God for knowledge to understand His word. Study The Bible is an incredible book of history and facts that proves that there is a God that created all things. Most important of all, the Bible is the Word of God. It contains the mind of God and His will for each one of our lives. That is why the Bible was given to us. Paul the Apostle says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." First, the Word of God is infallible. There is no error in God's Word. The law of the Lord is perfect concerning our soul. The testimony of the Lord is not only infallible it is inerrant. Proverbs 30:5-6, "Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." The purity of His words does not need anything added to it. God warns us not to misrepresent His scripture. The Word of God will accomplish what it promises. If God told you something will happen, and you wait, it will happen. In Isaiah 55:11 it says, "So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." God sent His word to accomplish His perfect will in our lives. If God makes a promise to you He will fulfill it in His own time. There are so many promises given to us in the Bible. These promises reassure us and bring comfort to our lives in our times of trial. I challenge you to take time to study the Word of God. They are beautiful and modest. They look like Mary most Pure. No where in Vatican II, did they outlaw beautiful habits. I love the Church and I love tradition. It's easy to be one of multitudes of Christ's wives because it's not a physical relationship. He's not physically around to cause any jealousies.

My dear friend, time machine? I love the pope and Vatican II. But, the tridentine mass is not outdated. Pope Benedict XVI encouraged the rite to be celebrated. Old habits? They are beautiful and modest. They look like Mary most Pure. No where in Vatican II, did they outlaw beautiful habits. I love the Church and I love tradition.
