- In a special edition of Behind The Roar, Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson talks about some key issues at the club ahead of Friday’s sold-out match against the Eels at Campbelltown.

You are the greatest thing to happen to my beloved tigers in along time.
I'm a long time Magpie supporter, but the NRL ship has sailed. Magpie on the sleeve, Tiger on the chest. Two 1908 clubs as one. We are the Wests Tigers.

Thanks Shane. You are the reason I renewed my membership after some 10 years away, although a follower in that period, not a member. Congrats to you and everyone behind the scene doing the hard yards to get this great franchise up and going the way it should be. Thanks to you, the board and the Chairman for a great effort.

Don't resign Richo. The fans appreciate a professional of your stature, especially me. You have brought hope to many Wests Tiger fans as we have not had success for many years. Hopefully the director stuff will be resolved shortly.

Great interview. Shane has said what I have been saying for ages. Many people, especially some who have been very close to the club's inner circle, want the merger to fail. As Shane said, it's not going to happen.
Any and all professional sporting organisations need the Shane Richardson approach. Since the beginning of the joint venture I know we are back in the fight. Luv ya mate all the best and thankyou.
Funny the guy who had Richo’s job previously was the one leaking the stories to the media. The bloke used to go out for lunch with the Jurno’s.

Richo! Are you coming back to the round table with Jammer on the Bye Round podcast? I loved the fact that you talked about Western QLD RL and advocating for funding for Country Rugby League.
Wests Tigers, amazing content it was really entertaining
Been hearing this going back to 2009. And every season nothing changes. Players need to play for the club and not just for a pay check. The board of directors in the past have only been interested in making money for themselves. I hope you're right Richo. Every season passes leaving me feeling a little more sceptical....
The fact that the club's yet to appoint independent directors, and that Barry O'Farrell is being praised for bringing basic corporate governance practices, speaks to how poor the past has been and how challenging the future will be. Implementing an unambitious report seems to be a struggle, for reasons that remain unclear. Quite frustrating to see. I won't be renewing my membership, the past decade - this year included - has been too much.
