It's a shame. Half of their effect is lost in the beginning because of the low angle
These WOD vids often have a first row view like this and the 'normal' one. For some reason, the front row versions are more frequent. A shame indeed. Can't find the normal version of this one.
Pretty much an expected thing with WoD. They could call it "World of the worst dance cinematography possible" and nobody would argue that it didn't describe the entire competition perfectly.
This was so beautiful!!! So different than what I usually watch. This is one of those moments in life that will always be a part of my memory....Unforgettable.. XOXO

That was just other worldly. Like that didn’t seem human. How they move together blows my mind. It reminds me of like robotics how they can have a robotic arm move exactly the way the human is moving, except, they’re not robots so...it shouldn’t be possible to move at that level or synchronicity. Wow wow wow. Mind exploding. Art. Movement. Everything. I’m actually kind of mad they didn’t win world of dance now, as I absolutely love the winners, but this is just like, another level completely holy shit

There is definitely a dude in there, center stage for a lot of it, and( 4:25 on the far right hand side of the line up).... holding his own and doing a lot of tumbling and dives ... totally just as good as any of those females.

でも曲五分の中で最初のゆったりとした曲の方がかなり長かったのもあってか、途中のテンポアップとのバランスが悪く感じたなー。
だったらテンポアップをもう少し早いタイミングで持ってきて最後の方にまたゆったりした部分を移す、若しくはずっとゆったりな曲だけで一つの作品として仕上げた方が全体的に纏まりがあった気がする🤔

I had a similar thought! A lot of their choreography is very reminiscent of older Poreotics' work (some of which we saw when they were on NBC's WoD). Definitely not knocking it, though. I loved this set. I think it's cool how they were able to adapt that Poreo-esque style and make it their own by adding the more contemporary and lyrical elements to their dance.
This camera angle is disappointing. We miss so much of their effect in the beginning because the camera is too low 😢

ok this is visually stunning and everything but, after just seeing their audition last week on WOD, I am disappointed that it is FAR too similar to the audition performance and hope they change it up a whole lot before the next rounds... feel like I've already seen what they can do, and I KNOW the judges aren't going to let them get away with any repeat moves and visuals.
It's actually very common to use a routine from a regional competition for the show's audition stage. Just look at Poreotics. I think every one of their routines was from their performances in the regional WOD competitions.
I was actually impressed that they took some of the most striking moves from this routine and adapted it to different music, then used it for their WOD audition. It’s a very smart strategy to take what you’ve perfected and utilize it again. I’m kind of obsessed with Oxygen right now!!

The impact of this performance is totally undone by the poor camera angle, meaning you lose all the stunning synchronicity of the armography, especially at the start. Watch their audition on NBC WOD for a much better, albeit condensed, version of this routine in terms of being able to fully appreciate the slick choreography.
Luckily, the WoD camera hold steady on their Chiva routine. Normally the WoD camera kinda is the worst of all the dance shows with all the rotating, cutting and judge faces. If they'd done any other routine, like the later half of this one, it would have been butchered like all other performances on WoD.
Love this group so much, hate the angle that this was shot. Very awful and can’t even see the dance the way we are suppose to

i am not a fan of this act as they are good technically their is to much standing around and doing nothing by several people in this group.
