Happy to see that the record high price of gold has now awaken more people and draw them to silver. It's like what Mike Maloney said, when gold gets too expensive the common people will turn to silver
I like how he takes the time to explain everything and does it without talking down to anyone. I went in to a local shop asking for a silver round, and he practically tossed a bowl at me with loose rounds banging around and told me to pick one. No care for the rounds or for me, as a customer. Poor choices in the bowl. Many scratched up. He didn't know me or what I knew, and I was disgusted at how I was treated. I had planned on going back for big purchases if I liked the place. This was just a test run. Now, I have to find a new place for local purchases. Another place keeps my name & address on a list, so that has no privacy value. Might as well buy online as locally, although I wanted a place I could buy with cash for privacy and could walk out with my purchases with no wait time. I sure wish we had a Tim here in southern CA.
Elitism in the coin business is prevalent and it’s Cali … wouldn’t expect less. In 2020 I subscribe to a financial newsletter who suggests buying graded st gaudens and referred to a known entity of PCGS. Called them multiple times , sent emails with the interest in buying 20 graded coins. Never once did they call or answer an email. It kinda goes with the industry, they think or perceive a lot of people are tire checkers
Why would a LCS care about someone wanting a silver round? Do you know how many customers they get that come in, take up 30 minutes of their time and maybe buy a round, maybe a tube if lucky. Instead of walking in like any other joe schmo, why don't you give them the courtesy of a phone call, get a feel for them over the phone, express your intentions or potential intentions, give them a heads up you may stop by (ideally a time frame you might stop in), and make the experience better for everyone. Walking in and asking for a single silver round like you did puts you immediately in the time suck category and frankly you don't deserve more than you got in your scenario. Maybe walk into an overpriced coin shop where youre one of the few that actually come through the doors and maybe you'll get more attention. Don't be a whiny bitch and be respectful of other's time and quit expecting a spotlight to shine on you from the moment you walk in the room and I think you'll be much more satisfied with your experience in any situation you find yourself in whether it's a coin shop or any other business

I've being buying fractional gold for years because that was all I could afford. I'm really glad I did because they have doubled in price relative to fiat over the past eight years. So fractional is not a bad thing and you can get some of the premium back when reselling. But only buy coins if buying fractional and never less than one tenth.
I have no regrets about buying a ton of dos pesos at like 5-6% over melt over a decade ago! I dont understand why you would say "never less than one tenth"
Silver Heist made a convincing video showing proof that you can do better buying fractional consistently over saving for a full ounce of gold because of how rapidly the price is rising

For brand new stackers, just coming in to see what a old bag of junk silver was, learned and walked out with.. A tube of silver Eagles, a gold Buffalo and a gold Eagle. That was a very smart move. Choosing to listen and also go for what they liked move and mainly on the advise of Yankee and Tim. Great trustworthy dealers and stackers, much love!

Hey Yankee a 1893 CC came in my LCS last fall. It was MS 63+ !! The customer was floored when he got $3000. It hasn't came back from PCGS yet 👍
