You would've needed 2 fast moves because the opponent got a 1 turn bring in on their charjabug, so it looked like you only needed one more powder snow, but then the runerigus would've made it to a sand tomb, which would take out your froslass with 1 volt switch. Maybe if you went for 3 more powder snows (and somehow survived all of the shadow claws and the sand tomb) then you could've maybe won
Funny and fast team… I like. 150elo behind you and I had a complete different meta with 0! Nidoqueens… yesterday I saw a few, today with froslass all gone. Most of the time Dragalge, Azu, chargabug, Umberon and Greninja Leads with chargabug, Toxapex and Azu, Umberon saveswaps. Luckily a few Greninjas, Jellicents and Carbinks in the back… but also Golbat, Toxicroak and Mandibuzz Misplayed a few matches, still climbed 60ELO, so worked. It’s funny if shiftry eats with shield advantage 2 1/2 of the opponent teams and you win matches which a completely lost at start and middle.
Update: i used Venesaur instead and went 12-3 from 2.3k -> 2.4k Elo The 3 i lost were 1. Frosslass Lead where i lost CMP 2. Frotress Safe Swap 3. Galarian Weezing safe Swap 2. & 3. Hard wall your team the 1. i swapped out of the Matchup due to losing CMP and then i got R/P/Sed. Solid Team tho!
Meowscarada is also a Dark/Grass type but the move is more focused onto Night Slash for consistency in charge move and while it has lesser bulk than Shiftry but if your looking to closest typing then also works. Alternate options Venusaur or Victreebel for grass dps fast move + charges decently. Trevenant can work as well but you can run Foul Play as a spice/meme to change things around with a more cheaper but lesser damage ShadowBall. If you are trying to look for grass coverage then there are a few options such as Scizor or Skuntank for Trailblaze. Lesser options would be Roserade Weavile or optional picks that are similar but perform different such as Umbreon, Linoone/Obstagoon.
Update 2: i ran this Team again today and went 17-8 with Venesaur. Its crazy good. Today i lost to 2x Umbreon lead - it completly walls your stuff. Also i had some problems with Wormadam having a super effective fast move against 2 of your pokemon and 2 Charge moves which are effective against all 3 of your Pokemon. One time they ran Azumarill + Shadow Granbull which also hard walls your team. i managed to win some Frosslass leads by instantly switching to Greninja and then try to get a shield or energy advantage to shadowball the enemy frosslass as my rank 2 Frosslass always loses CMP in the mirror. Went from 2350 to 2480. This Team is insanely good but has some Hard walls where you just cant win but most of the time you won't encounter them
Meowscarada can work but your hardest counters will be Bug/Poison/Fairy mainly but will struggle against Dark Types to do damage against. Leafage not the best move but only grass move it has aside from Charm. Do note that it has lesser bulk than a Shiftry in HP but charge moves are a bit too slow to reach aside from Night Slash. While yes it may be possible but you will really need something that can handle Poison Bug Fairy to teambuild around but overall will do fine against anything weak to Grass and Ghost type pokemons that do ghost dps (not something like Skeledirge for example).
The less attack you have the more bulk you have. 1 attack point is worth 2 points of defense or HP, so in case of CP limited metas it is more profitable to have twice the bulk. Having less attack might lose you CMP tie though, so watch out for mirror matches especially;) Note that attack oriented pokemon with 0 attack will always win cmp tie vs bulk oriented pokemon with 15 attack, for example grenninja vs charjabug.
Froslass actually is pretty decent as Ice can deal with quite some pokemons such as Ground types and Flyers and of course Guzzlord. Sadly struggles so much against Greninja but if you have checks for it then it will do fine. Froslass also knows Crunch as well which is similar to Trevenant with Foul Play as well for spicy movesets if you want a bit cheaper damage to ghosts despite ShadowBall having stab.
Ya Snarl while you get energy fast, you lose out fast move damage which is what Glass Cannon pokemon really want to focus on. Its not a bad strategy for charger pokemons as glass cannon cuz it does force shields but it becomes more consistent running Razor Leaf as it will pressure opponents to shield everytime as you melt their hp very quickly to where they have to shield. Carbink, Greninja gets massacred and Leaf Blade just best grass move as well.
I tried to run my Shiny Shadow Shiftry, but they actually managed to ruin Halloween Cup. It used be the best Cup IMO, but now it's so boring with everybody running Carbink and Toxapex. Some people suck the fun out of everything.
Basically the Meta spammers running the Top 5 PvPoke Ranked pokemons. It becomes very frustrating when you want to play a non-meta pokemon or trying to have fun but just doesn't work out at all so you kinda forced to build a complete anti-meta team just to try play and win and not enjoy battles as much due to not being able to run your favorite pokemon or something new.
Jeez. I stopped playing a couple of seasons ago. Is it even easier to hit legend now? That second opponent played like someone struggling to hit 2000 elo
@@alexl304 They straight up threw away their second shield. Their only win con after pawniard was gone was to earth power the froslass and hope Jonkus didn't shield, yet they threw poison fang.
Legend seems to be a bit more difficult this season cuz of algorithm and pokemon update annoyance like Steelix with Breaking Swipe and such. But however in limited format cups its quite easy if you know what pokemon people are running in a certain elo range and teambuilding to hardcounter most of them. Everyone is running Carbink+Toxapex but the recent video of S-Golurk just obliterates them without even trying and even then Golurk is rank 100+ in PvPoke but still destroys most of the top meta pokemons if they are weak to Mud Slap. You can run the top 3 best pokemons but it won't do you much good if the opponent has pokemons that hard counter them like Golurk for Carbink+Toxapex then Nidoqueen as backup incase Golurk is down. While yes it may seem a bit RPS for lead but format is quite limited so there are less threats to handle and teambuild around for coverage.

I tried it, unfortunately i get hard walled time after time. Just now a shadow guardevoir lead sweeped the complete team.
